Interactive whiteboards In assistive technology1Interactive whiteboards are great for those who cannot hold a pen, they can now write and interact by using their finger to touch the screen. For students who have trouble using a regular keyboards with a mouse, the boards have touch and click so they can interact with a computer.

2Students with learning disabilities require a great deal of repetition to understand a subject. Since it is difficult for teachers to repeat subject topics over and over the interactive whiteboard can become an effective tool. Interactive whiteboards come with a great deal of resources, and in this case can record the subject topic lesson and can be run each time a student requires it.

3Students with special needs often have a shorter attention span and find it hard to grasp subject material at the same pace as regular education students. The interactive whiteboards are a valuable resource for these students with the help of audio and video software that are interactive. A moving picture that reacts to your touch would certainly attract the student's attention and would be able to hold on to it.(http://EzineArticles.com/4781610)4Interactive whiteboards as assistive technology for the blind
