The Inter Club Council is so excited to create new memories with clubs this spring semester, starng with our first meeng on Tuesday, January 14th at 2:30pm in the Staff Dining Room on East Campus. Other fun upcoming events include the Spring Solidarity Fesval, ICC Cup Games, and the 5th Annual Campus Life Gala in April. Of course, spring always means that the semester concludes with Commencement. Congratulaons to all who are planning to graduate and walk the stage this May! Zola Hayes was elected to the Inter Club Council last April and hit the ground running from the very start. A Philosophy major, Zola has plans to aend law school aſter compleng her Bachelors. While aending MJC, Zola also is an SI for math, interns with California Rural Legal Assistance, and serves on the Board of the Modesto Pride Center. Here are some more fun facts about our Inter Club Council Speaker. What makes you laugh? Z: So many things make me laugh, but what really cracks me up is Jon Stewart. I watch reruns of The Daily Show all the me. What inspires your leadership style? Z: I get my leadership inspiraon from Jed Bartle on West Wing. I’m such an idealist and I truly believe we can all come together with the goal of creang a beer community for everyone. What do you want your MJC legacy to be? Z: I want to leave a legacy of respect, kindness, and community. I want people to rely more on each other and not be so disconnected.
