located and click OK.

Inserting a background is different than inserting an image in two ways:o The background image is stretched to cover the whole Virtual Whiteboard Screen.o The background image does not erase with the eraser tool.

To choose a background from the stock list click Format, then Options. In the Backgrounds Folder section, choose the appropriate background.

To choose a custom background click the Insert menu, then Backgrounds. Choose the folder and image, the same way that inserting an image was explained above.

Choosing a custom background adds that background to the list of ‘stock’ backgrounds in the Format / Options / Backgrounds Folder section.

Using the Onscreen Keyboard

Tap the Keyboard icon on the Intellislate pad.

Tap keys with the Intellislate pen to type. To make the onscreen keyboard appear in its largest size click Options then check Full

This function edits the pen that is used to write on all computer screen EXCEPT for the virtual whiteboard. This is the for the red and blue pen icons that are right on the Intellislate tablet.

Click the bright green icon in the task bar. It looks like this:

Choose Softkey Editor, then choose Softkey #4 or Softkey #5. (#4 for the red pen icon, #5 for the blue pen icon.)

Click OK, then make the color and line width choices and click OK to finish.

Getting the Projector Display to Fit on the Screen

The problem: The screen cuts off on the right or left – making it difficult to see the File menu and/or X.

Page 4: Intellislate Guide

The likely solution:

1. Turn on the projector with the teacher computer displaying on the screen (computer 2.)

2. On the projector remote control press MENU.

3. Push the right arrow (Vol. +) until you see the laptop icon displayed on the menu.

4. Make sure the laptop icon (Auto PC adj.) icon is selected (red box around it) and press the SELECT button on the remote.

5. Press the SELECT button on the remote again. (The screen will now auto adjust.)

6. Press the down arrow button on the remote until the Store icon is outlined in red and press the SELECT button on the remote.

7. Press the SELECT button on the remote again. (At the line for Mode1.)

8. At the OK? question the arrow should be pointing to Yes – press SELECT on the remote.

9. Press the MENU button on the remote to exit out of the menu.

10.The next time the projector is turned on, the entire computer screen should be displayed.
