January 1977- Officially opened by Governor of Hong Kong, Sir Murray MacLehose. HK$150 million funded by Hong Kong Jockey Club with free land.
July 1987-Hong Kong Jockey Club Established HK$200 million trust. Ocean park managed by Ocean Park Corporation, non-profit organization.
1982-1984 – Park’s second phase Of development HK$240 million(facilities at Tai Shue Wan & thrill rides at head land)
1993-Ocean Park Conservation Foundation (OPCF)
1999-Society for Panda Conservation (HKSPC)
2002-Gained accreditation from the renowned Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA)
2005- New Master Redevelopment (MRP)
