Integrate EM OPS Center 12c, EM Cloud Control 12c and Oracle VM Manager Date: 2 May 2012 Author: Rob Zoeteweij http://oemgc.wordpress.com I managed to install Enterprise Manager OPS Center 12c (based on the step by step description of Gokhan Atil http://www.gokhanatil.com/2012/04/how-‐to-‐install-‐oracle-‐ops-‐center-‐12c.html) Next I started to see how I would be able to integrate EM OPS Center 12c with my EM Cloud Control 12c and Oracle VM Manager 3.0 Installation. I came up with the following: After connecting to the OPS Center Console I navigated to Administration à Enterprise Controller à Enterprise Manager Cloud Control
Here I did a Right Mouse Click and selected “Configure/Connect”
I entered my Server Name “em12c.mycorpdomain.com” and Port Number: 7799 Press [Next]
Entered the Repository Database details: Host Name “em12c.mycorpdomain.com”, Port Number “1521”, SID “emrep”, User Name “sysman” and the sysman password. Press [Next]
Seeing everything is OK I presses [Finish]
As you can see OPS Center now is aware of the presence of my EM Cloud Control 12c Installation. Next I continued with “Oracle VM Managers”
Here I right clicked on “Discover Oracle VM Managers”
I provided a Name to create a Identify Profile (as this is the first step to take) Press [Next]
I entered the IP Ranges to discover my Oracle VM Manager instance and pressed [Next]
Obviously the Discovery Credentials I just entered will be used in the next step Press [Next]
After noticing that the summary includes all correct information I pressed [Finish] which automatically starts the Add Assets Wizard.
Here I pressed [Advanced] to see more details on this process.
Seeing everything looks ok I pressed [Add Now]
And as you can see my Oracle VM Manager instance now is recognized by OPS Center.
