Hello Ladies,
Fire season is upon us so please be sure to re-view your clients
policies to make sure they are insured properly. Many sad stories
come out of disasters especially fire
losses with clients being underinsured or people having no
insurance. This is also a reminder to clear the brush around your
homes and remind your friends, clients and family.

In an effort to keep up with the technology and changing times,
AICPCU has changed some of the test delivery for their mainstay
pro-gram Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).
Examina-tions for CPCU 520, CPCU 530 and CPCU 540 will change to
ob-jective format January 2010. The experience requirement is
chang-ing from three years to two years effective immediately.
AICPCU is now offering some of their most popular designation
courses in a segmented format
on-line. The new seg-mented format is avail-able for the INS
program, a new program INS 24—General Insurance for IT and the
Associate in Risk Management (ARM). For example, a student wish-ing
to complete ARM 54 has the option to do tradi-tional study and take
the exam all at once or break the unit into smaller segments
ranging from about 3 – 4 chapters with a smaller exam. When you
have completed all the segments for ARM 54, you have completed
that
portion of the designation. For information on the AICPCU
segmented pro-grams, check out their website at www.aicpcu.org.
Retirement Income Policy—A life insurance policy providing for
income during retirement age based on a percentage of the face
amount for monthly income. This type of policy will have a cash
value in excess of the face amount in later policy years so as to
pro-vide high death benefits or ade-quate retirement income.
Loss Constant—A flat amount added to the premium of a work-ers
compensation policy (after ex-perience rating if applicable) on
accounts with premium of less than $500. It is designed to offset
worse-than-average loss experi-ence of the smaller insureds.
• Make sure the toilet flushes completely.
• Practice good hygiene. Re-member to wash your hands.
You know the rules:
• Help keep the bathroom clean.
• Put paper towels in the trash.
• Report any shortage of sup-plies to the appropriate person at
your company.
• Watch what you say. You never know who’s in the room or might
come in the room.
