AtkomaticSolenoid Valves

Efficient Design

• Packless – no stem packing except on manualopening/throttle device.

• Tight closing – resilient seats on most valves toassure positive shutoff.

• Minimum number of moving parts – a piston andplunger assembly.

• Easy maintenance – coil replacement withoutopening pressure containment. Internal parts can bereplaced without removing the entire valve from thepipe line (on most valves).

Rugged Construction Features

• Highest quality materials – for maximum corrosionresistance, stainless steel valves are 316 stainlessand bronze valves are Naval M bronze.

• Full ported flow capacities – able to withstand fullpressure drop to rated pressures.

• Continuous duty coils – hermetically sealed coils onmost valves.

Extensive Product Testing

• All valves are operationally tested at the maximumand minimum operational pressures.

• Fully ported valves (pilot operated and semi-direct lift)are tested on full flow systems to assure properpiston operation.

• All valves are tested on oil, air and/or water tosimulate the fluid for which the valve is ordered.

• Each valve is tested against exact factory standardsfor internal and external leakage.

Atkomatic has 60 years experience in designing andmanufacturing quality solenoid valves. Many of ourvalves have been in service more than 40 years andare still providing valuable service to our customers.

Modular MountingSystem

Anderson Greenwood has the largest and most innovativerange of ‘differential pressure’ flow manifolds available in theworld with models available for every kind of D/P instrument. These include conventional three and five valve manifolds aswell as purpose designed models for special applications.

The range of pressure manifolds is suitable for all types ofstatic pressure instruments from gauges to ‘smart’ pressuretransmitters. Available for direct or remote mounting, thepressure manifolds enable isolation, calibration and ventingin a single unit.

Integral manifolds are those uniquely connected to thetransmitter of a specific manufacturer’s model and cannotbe used on a different transmitter brand. This section ispresently characterized by manifolds designed specificallyfor Rosemount® Transmitter Models 3051, 2024 and 3095.

The SaddleMount™ system is designed for close couplingDP transmitters to orifice flange unions. The system can beused on DP measurement for gas, liquids and steam. TheSaddleMount™ is totally self draining and can be mountedhorizontally or vertically. The system features a straight-through 3/8 inch [10mm] bore directly from the orifice tapsto the transmitter sensing module which reduces pulsationinduced error. Pulsation error is one of the leading causesof inaccurate transmitter measurement. The system allowsmounting of traditional DP or co-planer style (Rosemount3051) DP transmitters with a choice of 3 or 5 valveinstrument manifolds for power, process or natural gasmeasurement. The system does not require impulse lines, thereby considerably reducing installation andmaintenance costs.

The Modular Mounting System for instrument impulse lineinstallations has been developed in conjunction with ShellInternational (SIPM) and has particular applications in thepetrochemical and refining industries. Based on astandard mounting plate, it allows components to beeither pre-assembled in the workshop or assembled at alater stage, providing maximum flexibility withoutcompromising quality and safety.

The Modular Mounting System has a full range ofmanifolds for differential pressure, pressure and gaugeapplications and accessories including GRP enclosures, heating blocks, seal pots, purge blocks and testconnection boxes.

Braidedhoses

Prochem Smooth Bore Hose of Teflon® is specified inmany of the most difficult applications in industry. The extruded tube has excellent flex life, hightemperature resistance and chemical resistance.

Additionally, since teflon is steam compatible and non-adhesive, Prochem hose is an excellent choice inapplications requiring steam cleaning of an assemblyused in the transfer of a highly viscous media, such asadhesives, paints or food products.

The 316 stainless steel wire reinforcement/outer coverprovides the strength necessary to carry the workingpressure and has the durability to withstand harshenvironments.

High temperature hydraulic and pneumatic systems, likethose found in steel mills, foundries, transit buses and aircompressors, are ideal locations to offer Prochem hoseas a problem solver.

Additionally Prochem has incorporated the S.C. hosewhich is identical to the S hose (Virgin Teflon) with oneexception. SC hose has an internal conductive staticdissipating liner that provides a path to the hose endfittings for applications where flow induced electrostaticcharges can occur.

A selection of optional end connections that are available. Please refer to the Gyrolok catalogue for complete fittingselection.
