Objectives

• To provide an overview of the latest developments of the initiative;

• To broaden the dialogue with the Heads of the Regional Secretariats and deepen the development of the initiative;

• Interactive process: plenary, bilaterals and visits.

Overview of the initiative

• EU CBRN risk mitigation initiative consists of the following key elements:

• Methodology

• Structure (Regional Secretariats, National Focal Points, national teams)

• Tools (round tables, needs assessment, action plans, projects, visibility)

• Mitigation and preparedness against risks related to CBRN materials.

• Delivery mechanism: Regional Centres of Excellence to build institutional capacity to develop coherent strategy for CBRN risk mitigation.

• Strengthening existing networks and regional cooperation in the field of CBRN risk mitigation;
