Our Mission

Checklist for Class
❑0) Login to the Zoom app and enter MeetupID
❑1) Greet class with a smile and wave
❑2) At the beginning of class, in the Zoom app:❑mute all
❑select Gallery View
❑set the Spotlight Video on yourself as the Host
❑3) At the end of class, in the Zoom app:❑unmute all and open to questions or chatting
Checklist for New Instructor
❑1) Use a Mac laptop❑Check that auto software updates for your laptop
are DISABLED
❑2) Use a suggested lavalier microphone or equivalent
❑3) Use suggested lighting setup or natural light
❑4) Sign the Instructor Agreement
❑5) Record a 30 second intro video
❑6) Complete a $1 test class and invite 1 or 2 of your friends to the test class
❑7) Accept invitation from Zoom app

Position of Lights and Camera
Hardware
1. Laptop or Desktop (Apple Macbooks or desktops with webcam are recommended) positioned about 10-12 feet away
2. Microphone (a $39 lavalier microphone is recommended) positioned near you.
3. Lights (video lights or bright lights are recommended, less than $55) positioned in front of you to illuminate your face (do not put lights above or behind you)

Spotlight Setting
1. At the top of your screen, hover over your video and click ...
2. From the menu, choose Spotlight Video
3. This setting will lock the recording video on you, the instructor
Mute or Unmute
1. Tap on the screen and a Manage Participants button will show
2. You can control who is muted, and you can mute all
3. You may want to ask your students to mute themselves if the student has a noisy background
4. (any user that talks or makes noise unmuted will appear in the recording)
Other Tips
1. Make sure you have reliable high speed Internet access
2. Disable automatic software updates on your device in Settings (sometimes an automatic software update will interrupt your class)
Recordings
1. All of your classes will automatically be stored for you on our site
2. Just click the Recorded tab
3. You can re-watch old classes to see how they went and areas for improvement (especially to improve sound and audio quality)
Earnings and Subscriptions
1. You earn 80% of all sales2. We will make payments via Paypal on a monthly basis at the latest, and it can be

Music Licensing
1. Only licensed music can be used for recordings2. Download the licensed music provided by Benefisquad and create your own
playlists3. Benefitsquad will provide you a login to the below music platforms upon
request4. The music is only licensed to be used on Benefitsquad.com5. Benefitsquad provides you free access to two major music platforms

How it works (step by step)
1. Create a class at www.benefitsquad.com using your laptop or desktop and click on the Become an Instructor to sign up and create your class
2. Confirm Zoom Webconferencing. As an instructor, you will be using the Zoom Webconferencing app on your laptop or desktop to host the class. You will receive an email from Zoom to confirm your Zoom account. Click on the link the in the Zoom email to confirm your Zoom account
3. Invite your students to buy tickets or subscriptions to your class4. Join the video meetup 10 to 15 minutes before the set time

1. Check your email for a Zoom confirmation email. 2. Click the link in the email to confirm with Zoom. 3. When you are confirmed, refresh this page until it says
Zoom confirmed (circled in red).4. Click on the Join button to start your video Meetup.

Music Steps for Mac
• Install SoundFlower from here (http://www.fluxforge.com/vector/soundflower_2.0b2.zip)
• Install Ladiocast from here (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ladiocast/id411213048?mt=12)
• open Applications>Utilities>Audio MIDI Setup• create a multi-output device with two outputs as below (Built-in Output and
Sunflower (2Ch)• set this new multi-output device as "Use this device for sound output"• in Ladiocast, set Input 1 as your microphone and Input 2 as Soundflower (2ch)...
and set Main Output as Soundflower (64ch)• in Zoom, set your microphone as Soundflower (64ch)• Play music on your laptop using a player like iTunes, and the music will be
automatically combined with the audio from your microphone• See screen shots below

SoundFlower - Troubleshoot
• Download the installer: soundflower_2.0b2.zip.• Run it and perform the install• The installer will tell you that it failed. This is completely
normal.• Open the System Preferences and go to the “Security &
Privacy” settings.• Click on the “Allow” button next to “MATT INGALS”. (This
has to be a physical hardware click. Remote desktop connections or even local software tools like “Better Touch Tool” won’t work!)
• Run the installer again. This time it will run through without any problems.
