Consequences: My PhilosophyWe are getting to know one another in these first few weeks. I do not know what the expectations and procedures have been in your previous classrooms, so my attitude is that we are all learning these things. They are in place for a safe and pleasant environment for you and everyone else in here. When you do not meet expectations or follow procedures, you make it hard for others in the class as well as yourself. Let’s be kind to one another, generous, and patient in these first few weeks.
Consequences: My Philosophy
If you do not see me reprimand a student for disruptive or inappropriate behavior, that doesn’t mean I let it pass. What I generally do when, for instance, someone keeps talking when I am speaking is I stop, turn to the person, and walk slowly to them. If you don’t want me coming over and staring at you, don’t interrupt me. If disruptions or inappropriate behavior continues, rest assured I will handle it, but if I can avoid it, I don’t like to call out students in class because I don’t like to be called out in public any more than you do.
Consequences Warning
