Homework: Complete and Return Classifying Organisms Packets. Wednesday 5/3 [A] & Thursday 5/4 [B] Lesson: Ecosystems We will continue to work on Ecosystems and complete all activities in the Ecosystem Packet. Cell Project Packets will be distributed to students in class. Homework: Work on Ecosystem Packets. Begin work on Cell Projects. Friday 5/5 [A]: Lesson: Ecosystems Students will complete all activities within the Ecosystem packet. Students will continue working on their Cell Projects in class. Classwork this Week: TSW complete individualized topics, assignments, earn their piece of the pie, and take quizzes in www.Aleks.com program. Students have approximately an hour in class daily to work on weekly topic and time assignments. Anything not completed in class will be expected to be completed at home.
Topic of the Week: Due to the nature of the program and built in extended deadline with multiple attempts, the program will not allow extension for assignments past the due dates. These assignments must be done in a timely manner. Due Date

Upcoming Assignments On an average, students are expected to work for two hours and learn at least 8 topics each week. The program is self-pacing, and therefore some students may need to work over two hour to master 8 topics this week. The assignments are as follows:

Monday and Tuesday (May 1 and 2): Students will show mastery on World Map Quiz. *Students can earn 10 points by reciting the “Preamble to the Constitution” by memory (this week only). Students may make up the 50 States quiz on Thursday and Friday (during lunch or elective). Students cannot just show up but must confer with me and get a pass. Wednesday and Thursday (May 3 and 4): Students will learn of the significance of Shay’s Rebellion and what scared Americans about the rebellion. Friday (May 5): Students will identify the “Bill of Rights” (the first ten amendments to the Constitution).

Monday/Tuesday – Classes will examine the physical geography of Australia and the Pacific Realm, which is our last unit of the year. In class, students will complete a map activity. Wednesday/Thursday – Recap of Unit 9 Test with corrections available to those eligible. The history of Australia and the Pacific Realm will be examined including indigenous people. Friday – The Culture of Australia and the Pacific Realm. *PLEASE EXPECT HOMEWORK ALL WEEK*
