FOUNDATION CHANCELLOR OF SWINBURNE
UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, MR RICHARD PRATT, AO.

Entrance of Academic Procession and His Excellency, the
Honourable Richard McGarvie
On a signal from Peter Johnson the trumpeters will give a
fanfare to herald the entry of the Academic Procession. The
Academic Procession will move to specified seats in the
hall and will remain standing. Hall door to be closed .

On a further signal (by opening main door) from Peter
Johnson the trumpeters will give a fanfare to herald the entry
of the Official Procession, comprising Professors, Deans and
TAFE Directorate and Swinburne Council, followed by
the Vice-Chancellors, Chancellors, and Official Party.
The Official Procession comprising Professors, Deans and
TAFE Directorate, and Swinburne Council will move to
reserved seating at the front of
the hall. The Official Party led by the Esquire
Bedell will move to specific seats on the stage and will
remain standing.
Salute to the Governor. After a pause the Australian Army
Band, Melbourne will play Advance Australia Fair. Men in the
official party will remove trenchers.
