IntroductionThis installation dossier provides all the documentation needed for the complete assemblyof the Standard, Medium and Lux version HABITAT 1000x800 cubicles.

The relevant pre-installation specified on the pre-installation pages should already havebeen carried out. When complete, Gala will carry out the installation of the HABITATcubicle in Spain and put it into service.

The cubicle protective material should be kept in place until its final installation in orderto prevent any possible damage.

When the product arrives, make sure it is intact so that possible claims may be made tothe carrier without delay.

For installation two skilled persons are needed to ensure that it is installed and put intoservice according to GALA instructions.

Before final installation, check that no parts of the cubicle have suffered any damageduring transport or subsequent handling. When installation has been completed, theoperating test should be run as specified at the end of the manual.

During installation the cubicle parts should never be dragged, and it should always bepicked up by the frame and never grasped by the pipes or other components.

In the sections of the manual where the application of silicone is indicated, only LOCTITE5366 should be used. A canister is supplied in the accessories box.

The HABITAT components in the Standard, Medium and Lux versions are shown below.

b) T-branch rubber tube from the shower outlet to position two from the top of the manifold(Screw clamp 8-16, in bag no 6).

c) Silicone tube protected with insulating liner from the steam diffuser to the upper threadingof the steam boiler (screw clamp 20-32, bag no 6).

d) Silicone tube from the decalcification liquid inlet to the steam boiler lower horizontal inlet(screw clamp 20-32, bag no 6).

e) Solenoid discharge valve to the steam circuit by means of turning it a quarter turn, below thetank (accessories box).

f) Rubber tube from the solenoid discharge valve to the free stem on the drain (screw clamp8-16. bag no 6).

g) On the Standard version the rubber tube from the forked inlet on the manifold to the freestem on the mirror panel manual tap fitting unit (screw clamp 8-16, bag no 6); and on theMedium and Lux version the armoured hose from the electronic mixer to the triple solenoidvalve input below the seat (thread 1/2" G).

Lastly, connect the pre-installation cold (blue) and hot (red) water outlets to the tap fitting. In this thehot water input is marked with an "+" and the cold with a "-". Prior to this operation it is best to bleedthe hydraulic circuit installed in the home.

On all versions the solenoid discharge valve should be connected to the electrical cable bearing its name(no 15) by means of a FAST-ON connection.

6. Operating test andadjustments

6.1 Operating test

When at least 1 hour has passed since the last application of silicone, the following operatingtest should be carried out to check the tightness of the connections made and the properworking of the different components. For this, an inspection should be made behind themirror and seat walls and under the receptor. You should make sure that no waterescapes from the HABITAT cubicle at any point.

6.1.1 General

The following points should be checked in the order stated:

- Open the manual emergency cock for the handheld shower and check that it worksproperly, including all the handheld shower functions. On the Standard version first openthe thermostatic mixer stop cock fully and try to move the indicator from right to left.Check the proper tightness of the pipes, connections and components involved.

- Close the manual emergency cock.

- Connect up the hydromassage steam shower power supply through its respectivethermomagnetic and/or differential breaker.

- Switch on the keypad with the ON/OFF key. Check that the upper display comes on andthat the time and temperature appear alternately.

Wait for at least 3 minutes before starting to check the steam function so that the safetydraining of the steam circuit tank is carried out. At the end of this time check that the draininghas been completed. In the meantime, continue with the test.

6.1.2 Upper display

- Check that the time shown is correct. If not, proceed as stated in the clock TIME SETTINGsection.

- Check that the temperature shown on the display lies within reasonable values. Touch theprotective capsule of the temperature sensor above the shower bar lightly with yourfingers during 10 seconds approximately and check that the value of the display varies.

366.1.3 Light, radio and alarm functions

- Check that the light works properly. To do so, switch the light on and off several times.

- Switch the radio on. Select a station with the SCAN. Check that the volume can beraised and lowered. Ask the user which station he or she usually listens to and pre-record the tuning. If reception is not perfect, adjust the direction and position of theaerial until you get it right.

- Switch off the radio.

- Check that the ALARM works properly, both inside and outside the cubicle, if theconnection has been made.

This function is also compatible with the other functions of the hydromassage steam shower, aswell as with the pre-recorded automatic programs.

6.1.4 Steam function (Standard and Medium version)

- Switch the STEAM function on. Check that the reservoir begins to fill up to a level of4-5 cm above its bottom. Otherwise, adjust the steam setup values, as explained in therelevant section.

- Wait until steam is produced. This should normally occur within 2 minutes. If not, modifythe setup parameters as explained in the relevant section.

- Halt the STEAM function. Check that automatic draining takes place in 4 stages (1: filling-2: draining -3: filling -4: draining), and that all the water in the reservoir is drained off.Otherwise, adjust the setup parameters as explained in the relevant section.

6.1.5 Steam function (Lux version)

- Switch the STEAM function on. Check that the tank begins to fill up to a level of 4-5 cmabove its bottom. Otherwise, adjust the steam setup values, as explained in the relevantsection.

- Wait until steam is produced. This should normally occur within 2 minutes. If not, modifythe setup parameters as explained in the relevant section.

- At the same time as steam is produced, check that an almost imperceptible amount ofhot air is forced through the roof nozzles. The air temperature and flow should be lessthan in the case of the exclusive hot air function described later.

- Shut off the STEAM function. Check that automatic draining takes place in 4 stages(1: filling -2: draining -3: filling -4: draining), and that all the water in the tank isdrained off. Otherwise, adjust the setup parameters as explained in the relevant section.

- Check that the fan cuts out instantly when the STEAM function is shut off.

- Switch on the HOT AIR function and check that the fan starts immediately. Check thatair is forced out of the directional nozzles. A rise in the temperature of the blown airshould take place within 4 minutes.

- Shut off the HOT AIR function and check that the fan stops a minute and a halfafterwards. Otherwise, adjust the hot air setup parameters, as explained in the relevantsection.

376.1.6 Change from control panel to demonstration panel

To use the demonstration panel, follow these instructions:

a) Switch off the control panel with the ON/OFF key.

b) Connect up the demonstration panel to the control panel. To do so, first disconnect thesensor from the latter. Then, connect the released watertight terminal to the free terminalon the demonstration panel.

c) Depress the FOOT PIPE and TURBO keys at the same time for 3 seconds on the controlpanel.

d) The word GALA will appear at the bottom right-hand side of the control panel showingthat from hereon the cubicle is governed from the demonstration panel.

6.1.7 Hydromassage function

The hydromassage function should be checked directly from the demonstration panel.

For hydromassage functions check the proper working of the control variables:

-Hydromassage speed. Check its operation, visually inspecting the variation in frequency withwhich the jets occur after introducing changes.

-Time remaining. Check the automatic switch-off connector by adjusting the programmingwith this key, for example, for one minute.

-Temperature (Medium and Lux version only). Check that temperature changes may be enteredand are effective, as described in point 6.2.

-Delivery rate (Medium and Lux version only). Simply make a visual inspection or compare thesound of the hydromassage as you increase or reduce it with this key.

Especially for the Medium and Lux versions check the SCOTTISH SHOWER. To do so, just check acouple of cycles, examining to make sure the temperature change takes place.

The hydromassage functions to be checked are:

- VERTICAL HYDROMASSAGE: press the key twice and check that water flows from all the jetsand that this always takes place in pairs in ascending order. Switch off.

- DORSAL HYDROMASSAGE: press the key twice and check that water flows from all the jetsand that this always takes place in pairs in ascending order. Switch off.

- Check that both in VERTICAL and DORSAL HYDROMASSAGE mode the desired rows of jetsmay be selected and deselected by means of the "-" and "+" keys.

- TURBO: press the key twice and check that water flows from all the jets and that this alwaystakes place in pairs in ascending order. Switch off.
