The seat is made from the fi nest thermosetting material which is extremely resistant and durable.The smooth and compact surface allows the seat to be easily cleanedwith a cloth and normal non-abrasive liquid detergent.The stainless steel hinge allows the seat to be removed easily for a more thorough cleaning.

IMPORTANT: when cleaning the toilet bowl with descaling products, do not leave them to act with the lid closed because these products release gas which attacks any type of stainless steel materials (both AISI 304 and AISI 316). Therefore, leave the lid OPEN when using these detergents (even if aggressive and non-standard), so that the hinge remains shiny over time. Only close the lid when the action of the products has fi nished and after fl ushing.

5. Block the hinges on the ceramic bowl by using a wrench to tighten the screw D, after which insert the small cover C and press down. Lift the bowl lid and block it partially at the two uiding columns by manually tightening the small wheel I. ATTENTION: do not block it completely. Open and reclose the lid to check the closing speed. If one of the two bowl-lid elements drops too quickly or too slowly, proceed as follows.

7. Remove the bowl-lid by loosening the small wheels I again. Before adjusting the speed, it is important to know that only the serrated holes act as a brake. As shown in the fi gure, one is positioned next to the lid and the other on the ring. To adjust, work on the hinge inserted in the serra ted hole of the ring or lid. Position the toilet bowllid upsi de down on a surface and use the wrench L supplied with the kit on the element (lid or ring) that needs adjusting. Insert the wrench into the hole of the hinge, as shown in the fi gure. Turn the wrench in a clockwise direction for a slower closing (of the ring or lid), otherwise in a counter clockwise direction for a faster closing (of the ring or lid).

ATTENTION: the wrench must only move a few millimetres (ei-ther clockwise or counter clockwise).

6. To speed up the mechanism of the seat cover slide it off the w.c. in the open position (fi g. A) and follow the instructions in point 7. To slow down the mechanism of the seat cover slide it off the w.c. in the closed position (fi g.B) and follow the instructions in point 7.

Ceramilux opacoCeramilux opaco is a 70% natural mineral charges (calcium carbonates and aluminium trihydrates) composite blended with 30% polyester resin. The matt gelcoat fi lm that covers the surface of the material (800 – 1000 μm) is of the acrylate polyester type. This kind of coating can be restored, as a Solid Surface material, with a Scotch Brite® abrasive sponge.

Ceramilux opaco is a very versatile material which allows the development of a lot of shapes: wash basins, shower trays, tabletops, in many colours.

Ceramilux opaco

MATERIALS USED USAGE AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

CLEANINGDaily maintenanceLooking after Ceramilux opaco is quick and easy.Simply clean the surface with soapy water or any common detergent in order to remove most of the stains and dirt that may be deposited. Gel or abrasive detergents in particular are recommended, together with an abrasive sponge such as a Scotch Brite® one, making sure to properly rinse the area treated. The original mat fi nish, the distinguishing mark of Ceramilux opaco, will thus be maintained.

How to prevent damageThe surface has a good resistance to stains in general; nonetheless, the use of harsh chemical products such as acetone, trichloroethylene or strong acids or bases is not recommended. Some substances such as ink, cosmetics and dyes may, under extended contact with Ceramilux opaco, release colouring onto its surface. The same applies for lit cigarettes. All of these can easily be removed by following the suggestions below.

Removing stubborn stains, scratches and burnsCeramilux opaco can be repaired of surface damage such as scratches, cigarette burns and stubborn stains, restoring the surface to its original splendour, by following these simple instructions: for minor damage, the surface can be repaired using an abrasive Scotch Brite® sponge (3M registered trademark) and any common abrasive detersive. If the defect is still visible, repeat the operation this time using very fi ne-grain sanding paper.

MAINTENANCE OF STAINLESS STEEL SURFACES PRECAUTION

Stainless steel is an alloy composed by iron and carbon which combines the typical mechanical properties of carbon steels and peculiar characteristics of resistance to corrosion.

It is defi ned stainless steel because it resists to corrosion thanks to a thin oxide fi lm that forms on its surface.

The fi lm becomes a natural barrier against the effects of atmospheric agents.

It is therefore wrong to think that stainless steel is indestructible and does not corrode, stainless steel can also suffer considerable damage if not treated with care.

Its strength and durability, are closely related to proper use, good maintenance and use of appropriate cleaning products and materials in order to preserve the original characteristics.

Oxidation spots, limestone deposits and rust can appear on the surfaces if they are not cleaned and maintained properly.

MAIN CAUSES OF OXIDATION

Ferrous residuals left to settle on damp surfaces (not dry) carried by water or products used for cleaning (scrapers, steel wool, etc.)Limestone it contributes to weaken the steel in some spots or in areas where it has accumulated.

Encrustations they can accumulate in the less accessible parts.

Cleaners containing chlorine or ammonia not properly rinsed.

Salt if not dissolved in hot water or as dry residue of evaporated liquids etc..

It is important to know that the use of steel wool or similar tools used for removing solid residues, may leave microscopic particles that detach from these tools and remain deposited on the surface. For contact, these particles, trigger a rapid irreversible corrosion process or hardly restorable if action is not taken in a short time (an iron particle left in a humid environment takes a few hours to cause a major trigger of corrosion);

In order to avoid limestone deposits and encrustations, it is recommended to wash the product with a solution of warm water and vinegar, or with liquid soap diluted in water. Then dry with a soft cloth.

The use of detergent products containing chlorine, such as bleach or similar products normally available on the market must be avoided because they can produce serious effects of corrosion if not abundantly, quickly and appropriately rinsed;

The contact or vapors from acid (muriatic acid / hydrochloric acid) or alkaline (sodium hypochlorite / bleach ) or ammonia, used directly or diluted/contained in ordinary detergents for cleaning and sanitation of fl oors, tiles and washable surfaces, may cause a corrosive / oxidizing process on stainless steel;

Do not place on the surface of stainless steel rags, cleaning clothes, sponges or anything similar, imbued with common detergents containing chlorine or ammonia before having them neutralized and rinsed properly from this “contact” with a neutral detergent;

Rinse thoroughly and dry the surface.

WARNING Failure to observe these precautions will void the warranty.
