Insert a diode to secure the wire in the empty pin as shown.

This part can be removed because only the metal pin is needed to secure the contact in the empty pin.

Wait until the LED turns ON orange then release the Programming button. The LED turns ON red.
Please ensure that the vehicle is in a safe location and cannot move forward during programming. For vehicles equipped with a manual transmission, ensure the gearshift lever is in the neutral position.

Remove the plastic cover to reveal the key port and insert the first key into it.
Insert the second key into the key port.
Press and release the brake pedal.
Press the Push-to-Start (PTS) button twice to turn the ignition ON.The LED on the module will flash green.
When the theft light turns OFF, press the Push-to-Start (PTS) button oncemore to turn the ignition OFF.
Remove the first valet key from the key port.

The LED will turn solid green* for 3 seconds, and then turn OFF.
* If the LED turn solid orange, there is a connection problem with the CAN wires; pleasesee the wiring diagram.

- All OEM remotes must be located at least 10 feet away from the vehicle.- The hood, doors and trunk/hatch must be closed.- The vehicle battery must be charged to its maximum capacity.- Ensure that the manual transmission input wire (10-pin harness, white/black) is connected to ground.- The OEM Scan Tool is required for the programming sequence below.

Connect the OEM Scan Tool to the OBDII connector and identify the vehicle.
Select the following options from the menu:- Body- Security- PATS Functions- Program Additional Ignition Key

Disconnect the Scan Tool.

Follow the instructions provided by the Scan Tool to obtain a security access (pin code).
Remove the key from the key port.

Enter the pin code in Scan Tool, click on Yes to continue, then press and hold the programming button.
When the command is completed, the following message will be displayed: “Operation Failed.” This is because we clone a key instead of adding one.
When the module LED turns green solid for 3 seconds then turns OFF, the module has been successfully programmed.

Insert the 2nd valid key into the ignition barrel and turn it to the ON position until the security light turns OFF. The LED starts flashing red once every second. Remove the 2nd valid key.

After a short delay, the LED flashes red rapidly to indicate the current option of feature 1 (i.e. 1x green followed by 1x red indicates feature 1 is set to option 1). The flashing sequence will repeat until a new command is entered.
Accessing another featurePress and release the programming button a number of times to advance from the current feature to the next desired . The LED flashes green slowly the number of times equal to the feature number. After a short delay, the LED flashes red rapidly to indicate the current option of the current feature.
When the maximum number of features or options is reached, the LED will start flashing again from the first feature or option.

For a period of ONE YEAR from the date of purchase of a Directed Electronics remote start or security product, Directed Electronics.
