2. DoubleclickthebatchfileInstallBCILink.bat,

a. FortheRP5800(orhavingWindows7)thefileislocatedinthefolderD:\bmx\BCILink

b. Fortheothercomputers(orhavingWindowsXP)thefileislocatedunderthefolderD:\bmx\bciinstall3.1.0.0

3. DoubleclickintheBCILinkicon,inthedesktop,tostarttheBCIlinkapplication.

4. Loginasdb2bmx

5. Inthewindow,selecttheoptionsoftwareAdministration togetthetabsbelow.

6. IntheGeneralConfiguration,selectthedispatchingmodeLegacyBCIRS232dispatching,and

savebyclickingtheicon

7. ThengotothetabRS232configuration,iftheconnectiontobesetuptoyourLISorLIMS,isserial.

8. SelectAdd.

9. Thewindowbelowdisplays.ConfigurethelinkaccordingtoyourpreviousconfigurationofBCIRS232orwiththesamesettingsastheLISorLIMSalreadyexisting.

Bydefault:

Choseanametothisconnection(thisnamemustbethesameasthenameinsertedintheVIDASApplication)

Activatethelink,byenablingtheoptionisActive

SetthecomporttoCOM3.

BaudRateto9600.

Clickok

10. Aftersettingtheconnection,selectthelinkandsavethisconfiguration ,confirm.

11. Returntotheconnectionsupervision andcheckthattheconnectionbetweentheBCIlinkandtheLISisvisible.

12. Clickthegreenarrows (betweentheLISBCIlinkandBCIlinkVIDAS)tostartthecommunication.

13. GototheVIDASapplicationorstartit.SelectnavigationtreeinthemainmenuandthentheoptionConfiguration,youwillhaveaccesstothemenubelow.

14. SelectoneoflinkRS232andtheninsertthenameyouhavechoseninthepreviouspoint9(writeexactlythesamename),andinaccordancewiththeLISselectfieldsthatarepossibletoconfiguretouploadanddownloadandattheendEnabletheconnection.

15. IfyoureturntotheBCILinkwindowyoushouldseethelinkbetweentheBCILinkandtheVIDASPC,likethepicturebelow.

16. ThesetupandconfigurationonBCILinkandVIDASPCisfinished.
