Talk!• Ask your child to summarise what they have been
reading- main points, full sentences, not every detail
• Words!- meaning, power, similarities, phonics, rhyme
• Punctuation- what it means, why it is used
• Model expression
• Compare with previous books and authors
• Compare with experiences you have had.
• Laugh and enjoy a book together
