Holiday DecorationsPutting up decorations in celebration of the holidays is an important & joy-ous tradition for many of us. Please keep in mind these important polices:

NO real Christmas trees are allowed. They pose a serious

fire hazard and will be removed immediately if seen. NO candles of any kind, including light-up wax candles, can be used.

NO hanging decorations from doorways, ceilings, pipes or sprinklers.

Have a safe & happy holiday season!

If you are concerned about items in your apartment for which

you may be billed, or would like a little extra assistance in identi-

fying cleaning projects then you should sign up for a pre-closing

apartment inspection. These 15-minute informal inspections wil

help you determine what work you have ahead of you. To sign

up please email your apartment manager. Appointments must be

scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. This inspection is not the

final determination of damage billing. That is done after check

    out, during apartment inventories.

The actual check-out procedure is very simple. After you have cleaned your apartment and re-

moved all of your possessions, come to theWoodside Office - you will need to turn in your

two original keys (mailbox and apartment). DO

NOT send keys to us in the mail. Keys not turned in at

check out will be considered lost and you will be billed for

the replacement cost. When the office is closed there is aself check out option available. More information aboutthis option is available at the office.

Mail Forwarding: Mail for apartment residents is forwarded

for 90 days to your permanent address. If you would like

your mail forwarded to a different location we will be offeringyou the opportunity to select a different address. More infor-

mation about this service will be available at checkout.

If you have questions or concerns please

visit the Woodside office, contact your

    Apartment Manager at Lupi-

[email protected], or see your Com-

munity Assistant as soon as possible.

If you are going to be living at the

    Woodside Apartments for spring

move out over winter break!Students who are not staying for spring

semester have to check out by:Saturday, December 15 @ 3pm

    inspection appointment

roommates (i.e. individuals take responsibility for

    Winter Parking

    Ban Info

The Winter Parking Ban (WPB) be-gins at midnight on December 1stand runs until April 1.

Every night during this period, re-gardless of weather conditions, most campus parking areas andspaces are o limits to parking

    from midnight to 6a.m.

Parking is limited to exempt are-

as only. Campus residents with val-

id parking permits are okay to park

in their assigned lots. It is essential

    that campus residents correctly ad-

vise their guests about the WPB

and where its safe to park.

For a complete description of the

    options and restrictions, please vis-

    it www.unh.edu/transportation/

    parking, or call 603-862-1001.

If your apartment has a mid-year vacancy

there will most-likely be a new resident

coming in for second semester. Residentsmoving from one apartment to another

will be moving on January 9 & 10. Resi-

dents moving from other locations into

mid-year vacancies will be moving in on

    January 20th.

Residents leaving your apartment are re-

sponsible for cleaning their bedroom are-as. It is also a good idea for the remaining

residents to tidy up before new room-

mates come in in an eort to put your best

foot forward and start the semester o on

a welcoming note. A good start can seri-

ously minimize the chances of serious

roommate conicts later in the year.

If you are switching from one Woodside or

Gables apartment to another Woodside or

Gables apartment your moving days are

    January 9 & 10.

Because of the number of people switch-

ing apts. it is very important that moves

    happen in a timely manner.

Its happened before... Windows left slightly cracked open whenit was freezing out, pipes breaking, thousands of dollars in dam-age billingnot a good situation. Dont let it happen to you!

At this point your heat should be work-ing normally. If your apartment is way tohot or too cold no matter how you adjust

your thermostat please call UNH Facili-ties at 603-862-1437.

    Too Hot = Wasted energy

Too Cold = Unpleasant, & potentiallya sign of a largerproblem
