JUNE 2017 WINTER Welcome to our winter edition of the Wickham Flower newsletter for 2017. The season conditions have been favourable in most areas, with great starting rains around Anzac day, followed by another 25 -30mm a month later, making it quite wet for those trying to finish seeding. At Wickham Flower we have been very busy getting everything ready for seeding and spraying. We have seen quite a bit of new gear coming through which has kept us busy, right through from a very long harvest, with some customers just finishing off their lucerne. We have continued to expand our GPS RTK base station network with new bases recently installed at Padthaway & Tintinara and a repeater at Sugarloaf Hill. We have outstanding 2cm coverage across most of our servicing area. If you want to know more, please contact your local branch. We have a few new faces in our stores as we continue to grow our team to meet our customer’s needs. We welcome their enthusiasm and know they are eager to assist you the next time you are in store. Wickham Flower has continued to invest heavily in training & developing our team. Recent training has been done on John Deere tractors, precision ag, Goldacres sprayers, Kuhn spreaders and the latest models of Nissan and Mazda vehicles. Mazda have released the new CX-5 now and from Nissan we have the new X-Trail. Come into our vehicle stores for a test drive. Wickham Flower has been able to access some additional BT-50 stock and can supply immediately if a ute is required before the end of financial year. Wickham Flower can now supply you with the Yanmar generator range. These high quality diesel units will suit all jobs on the farm such as running irrigation pivots, shearing sheds or just as a back-up if power cuts out. We have a great range of preowned quality harvesters coming into stock this year, ranging from the 60-70 & S series with various hours which have been well looked after by local owners. If you are thinking of getting a header or upgrading please talk to your local branch as soon as possible to avoid missing out as they have already started selling. For the rest of the year we will continue to be busy getting machines ready for the hay and harvest seasons along with ensuring everyone is looked after along the way. Please ensure you have booked in for your preseason inspections on your harvest & hay equipment to avoid preventable break downs. It saves us a lot of time if you have your harvester blown down and cleaned ready for our technicians, so please keep this in mind. Thank you for your ongoing support, we appreciate it and plan to continually improve our service to you. Here’s to a great season ahead. WINTER
Welcome to our winter edition of the Wickham Flower newsletter for 2017.

KEITH’S SERVICE TRAILER Keith’s new service trailer is now up and running. We are looking forward to the improved efficiency and cleanliness of field servicing we can offer customers. Having this service trailer combined with our fixed price servicing, we can now offer a better option for our customers that are further from the dealership

SALES REPORT With a vintage that most would rather forget behind us for another season, our sights have been locked in on seeding and spraying.
In the dealership we have also been busy with the 6M series tractors as they have been a huge hit, especially with providing an affordable option for most jobs.
K-Line Speedtillers have been a hit this year especially in the lead up to seeding, with demand out sourcing supply at the moment.
We have a good range of new tractors in stock at present, with a massive order of more machines to hit the dealership soon, including the XUV 590i gator.
Make sure you come into the Naracoorte Ag Branch and enquire about all of your machinery and equipment needs with our salesmen, Jeff Sellars and Nick Davies.
It’s great to see the country side and the livestock looking so good with brilliant rain to start the season.
Our service and parts have been very busy catering customers with the early start to seeding. We have had strong sales with two self-propelled Goldacres sprayers, a John Deere 9370R 4WD seeding tractor, utility tractors, a JCB loadall, a Kuhn spreader and a Gason slasher.
We have sold a K-Line Speedtiller, which gives effective weed control, superior penetration, with excellent trash flow and incorporation. The K-Line Speedtiller has the ability with one pass to leave your soil with excellent seed bed preparation.
We have also sold a Kuhn Axis H EMC W Spreader and a Gason 20ft folding slasher. The Kuhn Spreader reduces wheel tracks and can spread up to 36 metres. This machine has accurate coverage and rate control, it is ISO, and section control compatible. The Gason Slasher is heavy duty with the option of dual mulching blades for finer break down.
We welcome all enquiries on machinery and are here to help with all your parts and service requirements. We appreciate your ongoing support and understanding in these busy times of the season.
May has been a busy month for everyone. Seeding conditions have been close to perfect, although the vermin associated with last years yields have certainly had our Kuhn spreaders working already.
Now is the time to be talking about your seeding requirements for 2018. Please start the conversation early so that we can get you the best value for money. June is traditionally the best month for ordering seeding equipment. The solutions available from John Deere and Gason are a match for any competition.
Over the next month we will be preparing our traded harvest equipment for sale, with new harvesters arriving from June onwards. There are still good machines available for this harvest.
Spraying will be a major part of the program for the next 5 months. We have a John Deere 4045R 36m machine in stock that we are ready to move and of course Goldacres self-propelled and trailing machines can be found through the Wickham Flower network.
In other news our Coolamon chaser bin has arrived. This 30T chaser bin is made beautifully, and certainly worth a look if you are in the Bordertown Ag Branch.
Give Chris Whittlesea or Duncan Ross a call if you have any enquiries.
