WISP Garden The Work In School Program (WISP) allows participating students to develop
skills in food production and nursery skills. The food that is grown is used
within the school. Trees and shrubs are used for the cultural walk and school
landscaping. This program teaches these students valuable work skills.
Evans River Challenge Last week, Year 6 students from Evans River, Woodburn, Coraki and
Broadwater ventured into the school gym to take part in a series of fun
activities. The annual Evans River Challenge saw students participate in
quizzes, a math challenge, drama, sport, and science challenges. The
students were placed into mixed groups and were tasked to construct a span
bridge from mixed materials. All students enjoyed the day and we look forward
to having them again for their orientation day.
Farewell AJ Yesterday we said
farewell to AJ Brown, our
school Pastoral Care
Worker. She has been in
the role since July 2016
and has done a great job
connecting with our
students and supporting
those experiencing tough times. We thank AJ for
her contribution to the school and wish her well in
whatever the future holds.
“Find Your Treasure” Book Week Wow! What a fabulous day we had in Primary
yesterday, celebrating this year’s Book Week
theme “Find Your Treasure”. There were some
amazing costumes and artworks, stories, activities
and the highlight of the day for many was
attending a workshop run by local artist, illustrator
and author, Kim Michelle Toft. Thank you to Mrs
Delman for organising such a wonderful day!
