Installation: Position where the effects of velocity profile distortion and swirling flow are minimized, ie not immediately downstream of bends, valves or other pipe fittings which can cause severe flow disturbances.
If the 5300 meter is to be installed by hot tapping the line through a full port gate valve then a 11/2"riser and gate valve must be used to allow sufficient clearance for the turbine.
If the 5300 is to be installed by only using a riser or pipe tee section then a 1" female NPTconnection can be used.
