The emerging technology demands high speed data. 5G will
provide unbelievable fast broadband speed and capacity to
perform every funcon without drop in connecon. The design
of microstrip array antenna at 28GHz with EBG structure can
meet the demand required by our next generaons. The
performance and advantages of microstrip patch antennas
such as low weight , low profile and low cost made them a
perfect choice for 5G applicaon. The microstrip is arrayed to
get a beNer gain. However the existence of side lobe which
results in interference among radiang element , effects the
gain performance. The focus of this project is about the
Electromagnec Band Gap (EBG) structure which is used to

Currently, the telecommunicaon system is very important to human

An absorpve filter is a filter that absorbs the stopband spectrum while
switchable filters means the filters are perfectly matched in both passband
and stopband. For this project, switchable absorpon bandstop to bandpass
filters are design through the implementaon of planar microsrp technolo-
gy using T shunt stub impedence inverter as it is suitable to design the
narrowband filter. Switchable absorpon bandstop to bandpass filters by
using T shunt resonator helps in improving the performance of the current
filter which they has a capabilies in offering a significant improvement to
reconfigurable front-end transceivers as they provide tailored transfer
funcons for a wide range of spectral environments. Since both bandpass
and bandstop filter responses could be needed at different mes, these
filters allow a high reducon in filter volume because two different order
filter responses can be obtained from resonators. Furthermore, this filter
design also able to reject a band of frequencies by absorbing the energy

denotes the proposed next major phase of mobile telecommuni-

ards. Rather than faster peak Internet connecon speeds, 5G
planning aims at higher capacity than current 4G, allowing higher
number of mobile broadband users per area unit, and allowing
consumpon of higher or unlimited data quanes in gigabyte
per month and user. This would make it feasible for a large
poron of the populaon to consume high-quality streaming
media many hours per day in their mobile devices, also when out

at improved support of machine to machine communicaon, also

baNery consumpon and lower latency than 4G equipment. In
order to be pioneer to this kind of technology, an antenna is sll

Handover (HO) is the process where a mobile node (MN) change its connecon
from the current access point (AP) to another one, or the change of network
technology such as from wireless LAN to 4G networks. In a dense indoor wire-
less networks, user mobility creates more challenges and seamless handover is
crucial to ensure the process is performed without user perceives any interrup-
ons at the applicaon layer. Since the process involves with several steps,
unnecessary HO should be avoided to minimize network latency. The research
intends to explore handover problem scenario in a dense indoor wireless
networks through a mathemacal modelling. To increase HO efficiency, the
research proposes a HO decision algorithm that could assist in determining the
next best available AP. The approach combines two parameters which are user’s
movement predicon and knowledge of locaon informaon. Predicon of
user’s movement is necessary prior to handover and could be esmated
through locaon and posioning techniques. On the other hand, locaon
accuracy and intelligent AP selecon is achievable using the knowledge or
informaon from the indoor localizaon server, or known as radiomap. The
algorithm will be implemented in the studied mathemacal modelling and

which is 915MHz will eventually produce a large size of antenna;
and eventually the antenna will become heavy. This project tends
to develop and produce a light weight antenna with only full-
palmed size but yet sll manage to provide a good gain of 9 dBi

image while the image is processed in order to figure out the QR
code. The QR code is then decoded while the data is compared with
the database. Arduino Uno and servo motor are used to control the
barrier gate.

Microwave Thera-
peuc Microwave therapeuc is a therapy with microwaves that is associat-
ed with high frequency therapy. The different frequencies used in
high frequency therapy have in common the fact that warmth is
created in the ssue under their influence. Microwaves are applied
using the radiaon field method by means of various applicators. It is
also one of the type of treatment in which body ssue is heated by
microwave irradiaon to damage and kill cancer cells. Microwave
range is from 300 MHz to 300GHz in electromagnec spectrum. Over
the years, many different types of microwave transmission lines have
been developed. In an evoluonary sequence from rigid rectangular
and circular waveguide, to flexible coaxial cable, to planar stripline to
microstrip line, microwave transmission lines have been reduced in
size and complexity. Small antennas and other small components are
made possible by microwave frequency applicaons. Microwave
transmission is the transmission of informaon or energy by electro-
magnec waves whose wavelengths are measured in small numbers
of cenmeter. Most people will experience knee pain in their lives.
Knee pain has many causes including arthris, ligament injuries,
meniscal tears, patellar tendonis or dislocated kneecap. It may be an
occupaonal disease and the result of an injury may be caused by
osteoarthris. Some knee injuries can be corrected by surgery. Most
people will apply ice within 48 hours of the injury if their knees were
injured. However, there are many that require physical therapy and a
great deal of me. Whatever reason for the knee pain, one of the
most effecve treatments is using heat therapy also known as ther-
motherapy. GT-30 SYED ABDUL

Breaking Monitoring
System Using Ther-
mal Electrical Gener-
ator
Some emergency brake cases lead to accidents. Vehicle’s disc brake
can generate heat while there is an emergency brake. The heat from
the disc brake can produce enerygy via thermoelectric generator
(TEG). Thus, a self-powered monitoring system that powered-up by
TEG is designed to monitor the behavior of the driver for reducing
accident cases. Whenever the vehicle being applied emergency brake,
an accident alert system with IoT will be acvated. However, TEG may
not sufficient to generate useful energy to power up complex system,
so power condioning circuit for TEG is designed to boost up the
voltage.

Sensors for energy
harvesng
This project is a research development of a device that has the ability to
detect Electromagnec Field in a wide range of frequencies ranging from
1.8GHz to 2.6GHz depending on the antenna use and has the mechanism of
Radio Frequency energy harvesng. The device will harvest RF enery as long
it stays in any RF radiaon. The device is mainly develop for user of the telco
companies or construcon companies which use this device to measure the
RF power radiaon from Cellular Tower or any tower that emits RF radiaon.
The device is equip with RF harvesng system to sustain and to store energy
harvested for the device to be remain acve. The device comes in 2 modes
wihich are harvesng mode and capturing mode. In harvesng mode, the
device will harvest and store the RF energy converted in electrical Direct
Current energy. In capturing mode, the device will consume the harvested
energy to capture the data of radiaon power of EMF emiNed by the cellular
tower.

GSM System.
This project is about to provide an automac railway gate at level crossing
replacing the gates operated by the gatekeeper which uses communicaon
by fiIng GSM in train and railway gate will operates opened and closed
mechanically by using microcontroller. The sensor that will be used for this
project is magnec sensor and RF transmiNer and receiver. The encoded
sensor signal will be transmiIng to microcontroller by using RF transmiNer
unit sensor when train has passed the sensor. Then, microcontroller unit
receives and decode the transmiNed signal. When the receive signal micro-
controller is acvated to check the presence of the vehicle if there is a train
in front of the gate before gate was close.
