In this project, it should be able to detect faults in the

air-condioning system in real-me and it also helps

user to idenfy and detect faults in the air condion-

and needs improvement are the speed in detecng the

faults, the efficiency and the operaon performance

which will also affect the cost to repair, maintain and

calibrate the air condioner.

Alcohol Detecon with

Engine Lock System

Featuring IoT

Nowadays, most of the accidents happened caused of

drunk driver while driving. In spite of the fact that

there are laws and discipline for psy drivers, yet at

the same me they cannot be completely actualized.

These mischances cause a great deal of harm to

property and life so a system was designed to reduce

car crashed caused by drunken driver. Alcohol De-

tecng System with Engine Lock Featuring IoT is one of

the development of an alcohol detecon system

featured engine lock with IoT integrated. Alcohol

sensor is installed at the steering wheel used to

monitor the driver’s breath to recognize the alcohol.

Once the alcohol is detected, the engine will be locked

so the car fails to start. If alcohol is detected while the

car is moving, the engine will be locked and the car will

slow down. In the meanme, a noficaon will be

immediately sent to the police control room to alert

the police so any acon can be taken to avoid any

accidents. Basically, this Alcohol Detecng System was

designed to improve the safety of the car.

Ibrahim Microstrip Array Antenna

with AMC Structure at 28

GHz

Microstrip array antenna is design at higher frequency which is

28 GHz as a transmission line or medium that used to convey

microwave-frequency signals. This research is to pursue the

innovator in exposing the 5G technology which lead us to

“hyper-connected society” where the gadgets play a very

important role in people’s lives. The general idea of this design

is to choose the best model for microstrip array antenna by

aNaching it with AMC structure so that it can cover the disad-

vantage of microstrip. As a conclusion, hopefully that this AMC

structure can help to reduce the side lobe and also the limita-

on of microstrip array antenna’s performance to reach the

Microstrip Array Antenna

Design with EBG Struc-

ture at 28 GHz

The emerging technology demands high speed data. 5G will

provide unbelievable fast broadband speed and capacity to

perform every funcon without drop in connecon. The design

of microstrip array antenna at 28GHz with EBG structure can

meet the demand required by our next generaons. The

performance and advantages of microstrip patch antennas

such as low weight , low profile and low cost made them a

perfect choice for 5G applicaon. The microstrip is arrayed to

get a beNer gain. However the existence of side lobe which

results in interference among radiang element , effects the

gain performance. The focus of this project is about the

Electromagnec Band Gap (EBG) structure which is used to

suppressed the side lobe and ulized to enhances the antenna

performance. The EBG structure is integrated with the mi-

crostrip array . The shape and type of EBG structure and the

best locaon of EBG to be intergrated to the microstrip array is

invesgate. For the antenna array, the presence of EBG

reduces the mutual coupling between two radiang elements

and decrease the surface wave.

This project is used to invesgate spiral antenna with bowe

which also known as RF antenna which work as frequency

which will resulng a bandwidth characterisc while bowe

antenna funcons is to transmit or receive electromagnec

has very wide bandwidth characteriscs and receives signal of

any polarizaon is apply to transmit electromagnec waves

which having circular polarizaon while bowe antenna’s

Electromagnec waves propagates at the same speed in air or

many fields including lifestyles. However, there is sll no

exisng combinaon of bowe antenna and spiral antenna

especially for milimetre wave applicaon. Therefore, this

project scope is to combine between spiral antenna and

funcons for a wide range of spectral environments. Since both bandpass

filters allow a high reducon in filter volume because two different order

filter responses can be obtained from resonators. Furthermore, this filter

denotes the proposed next major phase of mobile telecommuni-

planning aims at higher capacity than current 4G, allowing higher

number of mobile broadband users per area unit, and allowing

consumpon of higher or unlimited data quanes in gigabyte

per month and user. This would make it feasible for a large

poron of the populaon to consume high-quality streaming

media many hours per day in their mobile devices, also when out

at improved support of machine to machine communicaon, also

This project is to analyzing the characterizaon of Polysilicon

Versus Metal gate electrodes in 19nm nMOS device. SiO2 has

been used as an efficient gate dielectric since over many years

ago. The need for increased speed has led to shrinking of

MOSFET dimensions. Metal gate electrodes are preferred

over polysilicon for devices in the nanometer regime because

of it is found to form a stable interface. The aim of this

project is to invesgate and analyze the characterizaon

The virtual design of the devices was performed by using

Handover (HO) is the process where a mobile node (MN) change its connecon

technology such as from wireless LAN to 4G networks. In a dense indoor wire-

less networks, user mobility creates more challenges and seamless handover is

crucial to ensure the process is performed without user perceives any interrup-

ons at the applicaon layer. Since the process involves with several steps,

unnecessary HO should be avoided to minimize network latency. The research

intends to explore handover problem scenario in a dense indoor wireless

networks through a mathemacal modelling. To increase HO efficiency, the

research proposes a HO decision algorithm that could assist in determining the

next best available AP. The approach combines two parameters which are user’s

movement predicon and knowledge of locaon informaon. Predicon of

user’s movement is necessary prior to handover and could be esmated

through locaon and posioning techniques. On the other hand, locaon

Design of Tri-Polarized

Mulple input mulple output (MIMO) is an antenna technology

implemented in current wireless communicaon system where

the idea of using mulple antennas is raised. In order to further

improve the performance of MIMO system in wireless communi-

caons, polarizaon diversity is preferred where mulple polar-

MIMO system, the number of antennas can be reduced and

space limitaon in MIMO system can be solved. Therefore, in this

project, a tri-polarized antenna which operates at frequency

2.4GHz is proposed, designed, simulated and fabricated.
