The Gettysburg Festival invited us back for an afternoon of music and fun. Two festivals have been added to our resume. We had a fantastic time and met so many new friends (and dragged along a few of our best friends!) at the “In & Out of the Garden We Go” Festival on Snipes Farm in Morrisville, Pennsylvania. We met and made a new family at “PiggyPalooza II”, the amazing event sponsored by our good friends, Toni Brown and Ed Munson, in order to raise funds for the incredible work done by the folks at ‘Ross Mill Farm’, a rescue site for Pot-bellied pigs and other animals in need. And speaking of Toni and Ed, we were able to lure them back to Pennsylvania for an incredible week of music, fun, and fellowship …and hope to share some of the “fruits” of that week with you in the near future. Then, of course, there was our own festival “Fire On The Mountain III”…which was another huge success!! As we move into fall and winter and things start to slow down a bit in the local music scene, we want you to know how much we appreciated all of your support. There is no ‘Us’, without ALL of ‘You’!! Stringz-n-Thingz…

Hey Now!! I'm really excited to welcome back to my stage fleet…the guitar I've performed with

least, but owned longer than any other!! My 1979

Fender 'Silver Anniversary' Stratocaster!! Bought brand-new from a forgotten corner of a tiny forgotten Jazz guitar shop near Harvard Square in Boston…she's never been out of her only owner's possession! She HAD, however, taken a beating over the years. My trusted tech, Phil at ‘Link's Music’ in Hanover, PA, has gotten her sea-worthy and she's set sail on a couple of special occasions!! With some live sound experimentation under our belts..."Touch of Grey" will be a regular on BlackHand stages!! Please come take a closer look at the next live performance!! Hope to see ya'

soon... ~ ZigZag

The Key is…

Hey guys! It's getting cold out there...and with that, BlackHand will be keeping you warm all Winter with new venues and new music! We are trying to expand our fan base by venturing out of our territory. We had a big show in York on the 27th of this month and really liked seeing the place packed with the BlackHand Army and MVF crowd! We had been trying to get into York for some time now and this was the beginning of many more shows in the York area. I hope you guys stay warm and see you out there!

Peace and Love...check out our website

The ‘BlackBone’

The Drum Circle…

In the very little time that we have had off, I was able to get to a few shows by other local bands,

and have had the privilege to meet so many new fellow drummers over this summer. I’ve loved

the conversations that all of them were nice enough to share with me. It is always interesting

to see how other drummers approach their instrument. Even though most of them don’t play the same genre of music that I do, there is a

certain passion that we all share. The drums, not being a melodic instrument, are thought to not

have a lot of “variety” in the way you play them. I have found just the opposite in watching,

listening to, and talking with peers. There is an incredible wealth of talent in this community. It

challenges me to “step up my game” and try new things. I look forward to exploring new hand

percussion and adding some exciting new aspects

to my trap kit playing, also! ~ Alex

The Bomb Shelter… Hey all! Been a crazy summer- lots of new venues, I've played two new basses, slowly getting’ my

sound worked out, and the music has really started to travel! Personally, I can't wait to see

what the winter holds. Fall and Winter seem to be our ‘workshop’ time, when we work on new songs, perfect the old ones, and maybe get a little songwriting done. I just started to work on that, so maybe (with a little help from Zig), you'll

get to hear a "Noodle Original" sometime soon! See ya'll on Wednesdays at the Blue and Gray!
