In the 1970s, Saint-Gobain Seals Group introduced OmniSeal® spring-energized seals to the oil and gas market in order to solve reliability and durability problems caused by the severe limitations of elastomeric seals. These spring-energized seals, which had already proven themselves extensively in the aerospace industry, addressed critical issues including aggressive media, sour gas environment, resistance to rapid gas decompression and extreme operating conditions.

This additional experience inspired the Saint-Gobain Seals Group to design a series of innovative sealing solutions that consistently and reliably met the ever-increasing requirements of high-performance equipment manufacturers.

• Temperatures from -268°C (-450°F) to + 316°C (+600°F). • Pressure: Vacuum up to 2500 bar (+35,000 psi). • Metal energizers are NACE MR01-075 approved alloys for use in sour gas service.• Proprietary Fluoroloy® fluoropolymer compounds qualified to NORSOK M710 and to

API 6A F.1.13 specifications.• Rapid Gas Decompression resistance. • Low and controlled friction.

PTFE Rotary Shaft Seals• Broad temperature and chemical resistance range. • Shaft speeds up to 30 m/s. • Pressures up to 35 bar (508 psi).

Fluoroelastomer Seals• Outstanding temperature performance from -57°C (-70°F) to +218°C (+424°F). • Broad chemical resistance.• Low compression set.

EMI/RFI Shielding Solutions• Excellent EMI/RFI shielding. • Resistance: 0.042mΩ/inch length to 27.10mΩ/inch length. • Five plating options available.

High-Performance Fluoropolymer Compounds

• Temperatures from -268°C (-450°F) to +316°C (+600°F). • Low friction, high wear life and broad chemical resistance.

Thermoset Polyimide Materials

• Temperatures from cryogenic through +316°C (+600°F), intermittently up to +482°C (+900°F). • Superior strength and rigidity combined with self-lubrication properties.

High-Performance Thermoplastic Materials

• Engineered plastics , PPS and PEEK matrix-based materials using our proprietary formulations of fillers for performance enhancement.

• Temperatures up to +220°C (+428°F).
