LA HISTORIA DE EMILY WHITEHEAD
En 2010, a la niña de 5 años Emily Whitehead se le diagnostica Leucemia Linfoblástica Aguda.
LLA en recaída, sin opciones terapéuticas.
Incluida en ensayo clínico, recibe células T-CAR anti CD19, de la universidad de Pensilvania, la primera en hacerlo.
Como resultado, Emily es ahora una niña sana de 12 años, y su supervivencia ayudo a revitalizar una línea de
investigación cercana al fallo.
