“The IN”…the official Enewsletter of ‘BlackHand’ ‘BlackHand’ ‘‘BlackHand’ JUNE 2014 VOL 4, ISSUE 5 From The Nest… HEY NOW… This is going to be a ‘shorty’ this month, as we have had a very busy & difficult month. As you have realized BlackHand did not put out a newsletter in May’14. We sincerely apologize, but Alex, ZigZag, and their kids lost their Family home…affectionately known as “Manzana Vista”…to a house fire. On May 15 th , an electrical problem caused the total loss of the structure & its contents. Fortunately, all family members were at work at the time the fire broke out, and several local fire departments were on scene very quickly & did an amazing job. Unfortunately being an old home on top of the mountain with no municipal water supply…our home was lost. The Isaacson Family had lived & loved in this home for 13 years, and it was filled with our entire lives. Three of four pets are accounted for. Almost ALL of the band’s sound equipment and several very important & expensive instruments became casualties, as well. There are many Blessings here, though…Nobody was hurt, the home was insured, and the entire community, which truly loves this band, has stepped up with incredible response!! There have been several very successful fund- raisers, donation points, salvage & demo efforts, huge communal ‘hugs’…and an over-the-top effort on the Isaacson Family’s behalf by Amanda Petters, who launched an amazing gofundme.com site!! Several are still to come in the weeks ahead. The list of folks & businesses going out of their way to assist a Family of their community is truly staggering & humbling…and FAR too numerous to recognize here individually…but PLEASE know that the Isaacson Family, and BlackHand could not love or appreciate each of you any more than we do!! We also cannot IMAGINE ever feeling more loved & supported… THANK YOU ALL, from the bottoms of our overflowing hearts. The Phoenix Rises… Hope to be back, firing on all pistons by next issue!! THANK YOU for your continued support, and we are looking forward to seeing you this summer at one of the exciting outdoor live shows that we love to perform at so much! Peace, Love, & Light!
