over $1b to be a “Unicorn” – a highly unusual occurrence

§  As of January 2015, we have counted 85 Unicorns – the most comprehensive list yet published- with a combined market valuation of $285B

§  Consumer Sector accounts for a majority of Unicorns; we expect Transportation, and Consumer Services sectors to increase their share of unicorns in the coming years

Consumer sector companies dominate with a nearly

60% share of the Unicorns, based on the number of

companies. On a market-cap basis, consumer sector is

nearly 75 % of the total Unicorns.
