Preserved in layers of silt and sand along the coast line in eastern England, the footprints belonged to a group of 5 people. It is quite possible that this group was a family, since the prints indicate some of the prints belong to at least 2 children and an adult male. This discovery is the earliest evidence of human life in northern Europe. But as quickly as this discovery was made, the footprints were washed away by the ocean water two weeks later during a low tide event. The footprints that had lasted for all those years faded away into oblivion.

About a year ago, archaeologists in England discovered human footprints that are estimated to be between 800,000 and 1 million years old. It is quite possible that this group was a family, since the prints indicate some of the prints belong to at least 2 children and an adult male. All of us leave footprints – examples and influences on others. Sometimes those imprints are positive, while at other times those imprints are negative. Some footprints are longer-lasting, while other footprints are short-lived. Think about those people who have influenced you through the years. Perhaps the people who left the most imprints in your life were your parents, grandparents, teachers, best friend, etc. These people leave great imprints on our lives – shaping the way we live our lives and serve our God. So let me ask you a question – what kind of footprint are you leaving in the lives of other people? God gives His people the opportunity to impact people in great ways. As we live in our community and interact with people daily, we have the potential to affect eternity by leading people to Christ. This is the obligation and privilege of being a disciple of Jesus. So may we decide today to become committed disciples who will leave our footprints all over live across the street and around the world!

Inglewood is blessed to have many “worship leaders” in our church family. In addition to the staff and volunteers who stand in the front and lead each week we are also blessed to have two choirs which encourage us to worship our God. On February 8 the Kids choir will challenge us to “Give God the Glory.” Then on February 15 the Adult choir will implore God to “Inhabit the Praise” of his people. I hope you’ll be present every Sunday this month and JOIN US in praising the one in whom “we live and move and have our being!”

February is going to be a great month! We're kicking things off on Sunday,
February 1st with a Super Bowl party at Casa de Henslee. We will have our fill of pizza, snacks, desserts, and might even watch a little bit of the game!
Later, we will have a NERF War on February 15th at 5PM at Inglewood Baptist. All we ask is that the students bring any NERF guns and darts they
may have, some friends, and we'll provide the space and snacks as we enjoy
an evening of fellowship together.
At the end of the month, we have DNow STAND OUT on February 27-28 with
Fielder Church in Arlington, through Student Life. Begin praying now for our students, leaders, bands, and speakers, that God will move in a mighty way.
Also, if you haven't signed up...SIGN UP NOW, it's FREE!
We are headed into an event filled season for Inglewood’s children’s ministry.
