• Help Desk is responsible for: quotes, DSC support, working with HR to grant new staff members access to our systems, and to supplement your support needs when site IT Specialists are unavailable

IT Specialist Site Assignments

User Names and Passwords

• HR will provide you with your user name and password, which gives you access to log into District computers and your email account.

• You must change your password after you log into a computer for the first time.

Login Time

Email Access

• District 287 Mitel IP telephone system will forward voicemail messages to staff email account inboxes.

Phones and Voice Mail

• District 287 provides employees with a Gmail account that can be accessed through a browser, Chrome recommended, from any Internet connected computer.

Google Drive

• All 287 employees have access to Google Apps for Education.

• To learn how to access this service, see the “287 Staff” tab on the District Web site.

Scheduled Maintenance

• The first and third Thursday of each month, from 7:00PM to 4:00AM

• It is best to refrain from using any 287 information systems during this time.
