ICAI periodically reviews the scheme of CA Course to remain in tandem with national and global developments.Evolving business demands newer skills from Accounting professionals.Accordingly ICAI has revamped the existing scheme and new scheme is introduced w.e.f. 10th Dec. 2008.

1. Register and pass CPT. (No Change)2. Register for Integrated Professional Competence Course
(IPCC) – Comprises of 2 Groups3. Appear and Pass the Group I of IPCC. Student may
appear for both Groups.4. Undergo the Information Technology Training for 100
Hours 5. Undergo the Orientation Programme for 35 Hours6. Register for Articleship of 3 years on passing Group I or
Both Groups.7. Pass Group II of IPCC, if not passed earlier.8. Appear for C.A. Final during last 6 months of Articleship.

Requirement for Appearing in IPCC Exam
Student has registered for IPCC at least 9 months before the 1st Day of the month in which the examination is held. Completion of ITT and Orientation Training is not necessary for appearing in IPCC exam. ITT and Orientation should be completed before commencement of Articleship.

If Student appears for Both Groups simultaneously:A student will be declared to have passed if he secures in one sitting Minimum 40% marks in each paper of Both Groups AND Minimum 50% marks in the aggregate of all the papers of both Groups taken together.

100 Hours of Information Technology Training
The 100 Hours IT Training is provided by the ICAI
through the branches of ICAI.
The registration for ITT should be made at the time
of Registering for IPCC. However enrollment of
coaching is to be done separately with local branch
of ICAI.
ICAI Provides the Course Material. The training is
given by ICAI for 20/25 days for 5/4 Hours per day.

100 Hours of Information Technology Training
Tuition Fees payable to Regional Office / Branch for 100 Hours of ITT (It is separate from Registration Charges) – ` 4,000.The above fee is for Training. The Structure of ITT Online Exam 60 Marks Project Report 20 Marks Module Tests 20 Marks

IPCCIPCCOrientation Programme
Orientation Programme is to be complete before commencement of articleship. The Program will be conducted by ICAI for One Week for 35 Hours. Fees ` 3,000.The Program Covers following areas Personality Development Communication skills Office Procedures Business Environment General Commercial Knowledge.

IPCCIPCCAccounting Technician Course (ATC)
It is a mid level Certificate Course newly Launched by the ICAI. A student will get degree of Accounting Technician if He Registers for ATC. He completes 100 Hours of ITT He completes Orientation programme He passes Group I of IPCC Completes the 12 months of Practical Training.

On Completion of Articleship training of 12 months Accounting Technician Certificate is issued. It is not included in 3 years of Articleship. Student will have to do training in addition to 3 years. ATC Qualification is separate from CA Qualification. We recommend doing CA and not to register for ATC.

Articleship
To begin Articleship student should pass Group I (not necessarily Both Groups) of IPCC and should have completed ITT of 100 Hours & Orientation Programme.The unique requirement of practical training is instrumental in Shaping a well rounded professional.Total Duration: 3 years.Last 1 year student can join for Industrial Training.Stipend is paid during the Articleship period.

IPCCIPCCPermission to Pursue other Courses during Articleship
An Articled Assistant cannot pursue any other course without the permission of ICAI. ICAI gives permission only for One Course (e.g. Graduation) on submission of Form No. 112 by the Student. This form is required to be submitted on commencement of Articleship.

A Student has to register for C.A. Final Course on passing the Both Groups of IPCC.However he can appear for exam only on completion of 2 ½ years of Articleship. C.A. Final has 8 Subjects divided into 2 Groups. Passing requirements are same as IPCC.

IPCCIPCCGeneral Management & Communication Skills (GMCS)
GMCS aims at equipping the student with presentation skills, Inter personal skills, Group discussion skills etc. The Council has decided that GMCS Programme, presently being organized for 15 days for the CA students should be organized twice during the period of articled training as under: GMCS-I (15 days) - during 1st year of articled
training GMCS-II (15 days) - after completion of 18 months
of training but before completion of articled trainingThe fee for each programme of GMCS I & II shall be ` 6,500/- only.

There is change from Objective Type examination to Descriptive examination. It needs some special strategy from students side. At ZPA we are here to prepare our students to take on this change. Here are some tips to prepare for IPCC Examination. Read on!

1. Attend all lectures with 100% Physical and Mental Attendance. Your success is ensured.
2. Do the Homework regularly with the utmost sincerity. It helps to evaluate your understanding and rectify the mistakes. Commit the mistakes but don’t repeat them. Its best process of learning, as elimination of mistakes is only the path of PERFECTION.

3. Attend all the Weekly tests that will be conducted. They benefit from weekly tests is invaluable. It develops the writing skills and self evaluation. Also the portion covered in test is prepared automatically.
4. At IPCC Writing skills (language & handwriting) are going to be deciding factors especially for theory subjects. So Regularly practice answering the theory questions at home.

5. Prepare the detailed Study plan considering the Number of pages to be read. The study plan should aim at covering the entire syllabus at least 1 month before the examination. 1 Minute spent in planning saves 10 Minutes in implementation. This is 1000% Return on time spent!

6. Complete the Self Study of the Chapter as soon as Chapter is over in the class. Don’t create any backlogs. Eat slowly and Digest perfectly.
7. Prepare the Book of Highlights (BOH) covering the summary points of the chapter as soon chapter is over. It helps in Quick revision. Revise the BOH maximum possible number of times.

8. At IPCC past examination questions are available. Most of the questions will be covered in the Class. Go through those questions to develop the self confidence.
9. Do appear in Mock test series conducted at the end. It helps in understanding your weak points and gives scope for improvement.
