On the Student screen you can update all of the data we hold about you as an individual.

All of this data is stored and used in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

Some fields are used only for statistical and monitoring purposes – e.g. Ethnicity. Please complete all fields.

Make sure that you provide term time contact details – and next of kin or other emergency contact details. (It is important that we know who to

contact if you suddenly became ill.)

There are some fields that you can’t change yourself - date of birth and your name. These fields confirm who you are. BUT amend the fields on the screen as the information is noted and sent by email to the School / Graduate School. If it is a minor change the school may make the change. But if is a significant change you may be asked to bring in identification .

When you have requested a change you get this message on-screen and an email.

And there is an indicator on the Status screen.

(To fully register you need all green ticks on this part of the screen – and no red crosses).

You only see the Finance screen if you need to pay some of your fees before you can register.

You can see the amount due. You can pay on-line to complete the registration process. Or, you can visit the Finance Office to pay in person.

If you think that there is something wrong with your fees, contact the Finance Office using the link.

When you have confirmed your details and paid fees, you will be able to complete the registration process.

Press on the Register button.

After pressing the Register button, some students will also need to confirm that they are in attendance at the University as indicated above. This means that you need to go to a particular venue on campus to scan your smart card. This is a very quick process and once done your student loan will normally be released to you within 4 working days. However, please note that loans will only be released if you have already been fully assessed by the Student Loan Company and received documentation from them confirming this. Also, the Student Loan Company will not release loans before the first day of term for your programme.
