Step 1 - Get started

• You must RICA your SIM before you register for FLASH and begin trading.• To enable you to RICA clients, sign and fax the provided RICA document and T&C's document to 086 639 2165.

Step 2 - Device Setup

Connect your FLASH Device to a wall socket using the charger provided.If you have a FLASH Printer, connect the printer to the FLASH Device andwall socket using the charger provided.

Press the power button to start the FLASH Device.

Step 3 - Register for FLASH

• Dial 000 or select FLASH, click to start and Press OK.• If the FLASH menu does not load, try again.• Select any option on the FLASH menu to register, press OK.• Follow the prompts to enter your business name, location (suburb), ID number & new PIN. Your 4 digit PIN protects your device from unauthorised use.• When registration is successful “Successful Registration” will appear on your screen.• On successful registration please call the FLASH CALL CENTRE on 084 193 5274 (FREE from a Cell C SIM) / 083 903 5274 FREE from an MTN SIM) to update your address and create your secret word. You will use your secret word when you log onto www.flash.co.za to view your transactions and to verify your identity when you contact the FLASH Call Centre.• You will receive an SMS giving you your 10 digit FLASH number. This number is also displayed on your FLASH Device screen.

Step 4 - Top-up your FLASH Balance

• You must Top-up your FLASH to begin trading! Top-up by purchasing a FLASH Token which will be added to your FLASH Balance.See next page for other ways to Top-up.

Cardless Scan 'n Pay Deposit - Has business beneficiaries such as FLASHMOBILE CASH linked on the system so it's easy to locate. Cardless Cash Deposit - Has no beneficiaries loaded, depositors normally use thisfunction to get money across to a relatives). Here you will have to enter the FLASH account number given below.

ProfitsThis allows you to view the profit in your profit account.

Use your profit to Top-up your FLASH Balance • Select Profit. • Enter the amount in cents you would like to transfer to your FLASH Balance. (R10 = 1000 cents) • Follow the prompts to complete the transaction.

End of shiftThis totals up all transactions since the last end of shift was done and clears sales totals.

Flash It!

What is Flash It?Flash It! allows your customers to send FLASH (value) to anyone (friends and family who are also registered for Flash It!). Customers can then sell their FLASH (via Flash It! PIN) to you in return for cash! Benefits to you?You will earn R1 commission for each Flash It! transaction (buying a Flash It! PIN from customer). You can Top-up your FLASH Balance without having to leave your shop - SAVE 1% Top-up fee!

How does it work?Customer will generate a 10 Digit Flash It! PIN on their own phone. Customer will “sell” Flash It! PIN to you (FLASH is transferred from customer to you).

This Flash product has been thoroughly inspected and tested before being dispatched and is therefore warranted against

inherent defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 (twelve) months for new devices and 6 (six) months in

the case of refurbished devices from the date of registration (unless otherwise stated on proof of purchase).

For any out of box failures (OBF’s), the device will be replaced or refunded, provided it is returned with proof of purchase

to the FLASH Service Centre within 7 (seven) days from the date of receipt. Please contact the FLASH Call Centre on

084 193 5274 (Free from Cell C Sim) or 083 903 5274 (Free from MTN Sim) for the details on the nearest Service Centre.

WARRANTY PROCEDURES:

1. Should problems arise with the Flash product during the warranty period, please refer firstly to the Instruction

Manual/s to ensure that you have correctly followed all installation and operating procedures.

2. If after following the above mentioned procedure and the Flash device is still not functioning correctly then please

refer to WARRANTY CONDITIONS overleaf.

Step 5Contact the FLASH Call Centre so the profile of your new SIM can be updated & balances can be transferred to your new SIM. When you call the FLASH Call Centre, please have both your old FLASH number and new FLASH number on hand.

Warranty Conditions:

1. If any part of the product is found to be defective by the FLASH Repairs Department within the first 12 (twelve)

months after registration, you (the client) have the right to have the unit replaced with a refurbished device of the

same device type or all monies to be refunded (excluding transport costs) given the product is clear from visible

signs of physical or liquid damage and is accompanied by all its original packaging including all accessories,

manuals, brochures and sim cards supplied in the package. Once the device is replaced, the warranty period will

then only be the period left over from the initial warranty.

2. This warranty is given on condition that only genuine FLASH parts and accessories are used at all times

in/ with the products.

3. FLASH shall not be held responsible for damage of any kind resulting from faulty installations, improper use of

controls or failure to use the product in accordance with the operating instructions and/ or general misuse and/ or

abuse, which would include unforeseen accidents, wear and tear, and/ or earthquake, flood, lightening or any

other natural disaster beyond the control of FLASH.

4. Any attempt by an unauthorised person to repair or tamper with the product and/ or accessories shall render this,

or any warranty NULL and VOID

5. No reimbursements will be made for repairs carried out by unauthorised FLASH service centres.

6. New or reconditioned parts installed during repair or maintenance work are under warranty for 6 (six) months

after the date of installation.

7. Repairs carried out under warranty do not extend the warranty period for the product. Parts removed/ replaced

during warranty repairs become the property of FLASH.

8. Failure to produce documentary proof of the date of purchase or original acquisition by the original purchaser will

result in normal charges being levied for the work carried out and the parts supplied.

9. The warrantied repair service does not include absent accessories, auxiliary devices and transport costs. An

additional charge will be levied for the replacement of missing parts.

10. FLASH will not be held responsible for loss of revenue during its time at the repairs centre.

11. Software failures are excluded from the 12 (twelve) months implied warranty, as software faults are caused by

foreign downloads on the goods.
