For the influential figures it is very important to look in the media and the world of pop music to see how the audience are affected by the artists as they will give out certain ideologies to the audience as well as expressing their style.

Although there are criticism about her ‘acing’ In the VMA’s, Miley shows a very strong ideology about feamle’s power as well as women in control of their sexuality, which can be applied to the Gaunlett’s theory as she is doing it by herself and she doesn’t really care about what people said about her.

However from her clothing we can know that she is using sex as a from of feminism, she put herself into the male gaze by wearing the ‘special’ dress in different events, which could also apply to Winship’s theory as she makes herself attractive as well as putting herself into the male gaze.

The lyrics from her songs are influence to her target audiences as she is promoting the ideology of ‘Don’t be scared of everything’, which is telling her audience to be brave and strong.

Gives out the ideologies of women’s power to the target audience which can apply to Gauntlett’s theory as she portrays women to be strong as well empower themselves

Some of her song are talking about love which can influence to the target audience (Young teenagers) as they are in puberty and the songs increase their desire about love.

However some of her songs are talking about the female power for example the song ‘Work B**ch’ mention about ‘work hard and get a fancy life’, which against the stereotype of women as well as showing the power of female.

His style and his appearance attract a lot of female audiences all over the world, most of her songs is about love and ‘how wonderful the girls are’, which attract a lot of audiences because teenagers will think that love is simple and it is very easy to get ‘love’ as the have a bigger desire of love.

He has been going out with another famous artists- Selena Gomez, which audiences will be influenced by the couple as they gives out personal identity to the target audience so that the target audience will also want to find a boyfriend/girlfriend.

As most of the target audiences of those artists are young mass teenagers, so that the target audience can find out the artists very easy by using their converged devises. Also the artists always gives out personal identity and social interaction to their audience so that young teenagers can talk about them through web2.0 or the social media. Moreover because the audiences are still in young age, so they are more likely to be foxthinker as well as unsophisticated.

The X-Factors- The biggest talent competition in the Europe which attract a lot of teenagers to watch the programme. The competition have been produced some famous artists such as One Direction, Olly Murs and Little Mix. The competition provide a platform to the young people to achieve the dream.

Time Inc. UK – The Time Inc. UK company own a large variety of magazine including the NME (New Musical Express). The NME magazine has a long history as it start published as a music newspaper in 1952 and it became a music magazine in the 1980s.

Bauer Media- The music magazine Q is published by Bauer Media alongside with MOJO and Kerrang. The Kerrang magazine are doing synergy marketing as they have other media platform such as the Kerrang radio station, Kerrang TV and the Kerrang Tour.

These large conglomerate has a bigger budget than the independent, also they can reproduce the dominant ideologies such as a girl need a boyfriend, which also apply to the hegemonic as women are weak therefore they will need a boyfriend to protect them, which will be suitable for my magazine.

David Hepworth David Hepworth is a British writer, broadcaster and editor.

He joined the music magazine Smash Hits in 1979 and became an editor in 1981.

He has won the Editor Of The Year and Writer Of the Year Award from the Professional Publisher Association and the Mark boxer Award from the British Society Of Magazine Editor.

Music Journalist Malcolm Mackenzie Malcolm Mackenzie is a the editor of a famous pop

magazine ‘We Love Pop”. As the magazine is published by Egmont and the magazine is aiming at audience of 13-15 years old teen girls.

He said: “Pop music and following the antics of pop stars has always been a fundamental part of growing up, but it has seen a real resurgence in the past couple of years. With pop domination of the charts, and a host of TV shows like Glee and X Factor feeding the buzz, we believe the time is right to bring the pop world to life for a new generation of teens.”
