For Women

Woman over 35 years are more likely to have fertility problems. The ovaries become less effective in producing eggs that can be successfully fertilized.

Environmental factors such as alcohol consumption, cigarette smoking, exposure to workplace hazards or toxins can lead to infertility

Abnormalities in the uterus that are present at birth or happen later in life

Excessive or very low body fat can affect ovulation and fertility.

Chronic diseases such as diabetes, arthritis, hyper or hypothyroidism, lupus, asthma or hypertension

Cigarette or marijuana smoke, heavy alcohol consumption can cause infertility in men.

History of prostatitis, genital infection or sexually transmitted diseases

Consumption of prescription drugs such as those for ulcers or psoriasis can slow or prevent the production of sperm.
