Sor8ng:  What?  Why?  

•  At  the  heart  of  sor8ng  is  the  no8on  of  a  “set”.  A  set  is  a  well-­‐defined  collec8on  of  objects  that  belong  together  because  they  have  a  common  property.  There  should  be  no  ambiguity.  

•  A  carefully  planned  programme  of  sor8ng  ac8vi8es  is  a  vital  prerequisite  to  meaningful  work  with  number
