LAGUN MILLING CNC Bed mills, travelling column and floor type milling
machines are now available from RK International. With more & more customers requiring rapid support, the range of Spanish made machines is now fully supported by RK International Machine Tools.
The TM Series allows for large diameter workpieces to be machined with the minimimum of floorspace requirment. Utilising a XYZ and V Axis arrangement, this travelling machine ‘swallows’ large workpieces with its ingenius V axis on the Ram. With an X axis of upto 5000mm, 1300mm in the Y Axis, upto 1500mm on the V axis and 2000mm in the Z axis allows for components upto 2500mm diameter and componentsof up-to 10,000kgs. With more and more shops seeing the benefits of using a horizontal spindle and rotary table surface grinder on the PERFECT PFG-R, two new models offering a 500mm and 600 rotarty table have now been introduced. Alpha System Software:Unique to Harrison Alpha and developed since 1995 between Harrison and Fanuc engineers. It is without doubt the easiest control in the world to both learn and operate by a manual trained lathe operator.
Manual Operation:Wind the machine handles just like your would do on a conventional centre lathe. Axes positions are shown on the colour FANUC display along with spindle speed.
Manual Guide i / CNC:This is an easy to use intuitive programming system designed to assist the less experienced operator gain full advantage of the features of even the most complex of machining functions
Although this system is used by many other machine tool builders, it is important to note that the system fitted to the Alpha products has been customised. This makes the Manual Guide fitted to these machines absolutely unique to the Alpha product.
OFFLINE PROGRAMMING - WITH CAD CAM SYSTEM IncludedAs with all previous Alpha machines the Alphalink cad cam software is supplied free of charge. The machines are now supplied with the Windows compatible system (previously an extra charge option) allowing simple generation of stan-dard ISO (CNC) programs and the use of previously generated DXF files.
The completed programs may be saved in two methods on this range of machines. The first is cam type operation programs. These are operated via the Alpha system software and require no cnc program knowledge to run. Alternatively the program may be saved as a standard ISO (CNC) program and run via the Manual Guide / CNC system software mode of operation.

Latest Generation semi-automatic T7 PLC Control combines excellent versatility with high quality standards to allow processing of small batch production workpieces, and even one off workpieces - in manual or semi automatic modes.
The use of the linear encoder on the grinding wheelhead axis and automatic dressing compensation mean that workpiece presetting is done only once, on machine set-up.
The T7 machine version can be equipped with measurement devices or contact probes so that it is extremely fast and precise even when processing complex components.
The easy to use, self prompted siemens display panel, guides the operator through several screens to link the dimensions of the component along with all the grinding parameters to allow a complex part ,to be ground with ease.
The Wheelhead
is an assembly of two carriages manufactured in normalised cast iron.
The upper carriage where the hydrodynamic spindle is located, has a manual stroke positioning to optimise the use of the grinding wheel.
The lower carriage slides on hand scrapped guides, with anti-friction material and timed lubrication.
The carriage has two movements: 1. fast approach by means of a hydraulic cylinder ; 2. working feed by means of a steel screw and
bronze preloaded nut. Equipped with incremental linear encoder for micro positioning (0,001 mm.)
The wheelhead rotates +/- 45° manually.

Fine grinding is a superfinishing process performed by removing a well defined amount of stock from two parallel flat surfaces of components requiring extremely precise geometric accuracies and exceptional surface finishes.
The high level of technology involved allows such machines to achieve the same quality as the conventional lapping process. Main advantages from the latter are the much higher production (5-10 times than the lapping) and the cleanliness of the process: in fact, considering that any free abrasive slurry is not used, parts coming off the machine don’t need any deep washing or special solvent fluids. THRU-FEED & IN-FEED HYDRAULIC HEAVY DUTY THREAD ROLLING MACHINEThread rolling with two rolling dies on a thread rolling machine is in effect a cold forging process and forms the fibres and structure of the metal instead of cutting it.
The advantage of this process is not only that it is the most rapid and accurate method of producing com-mercial screw threads in large quantity but also that it results in greater tensile strength, shear strength and resistance to wear than threads produced by the cutting process.
