*Non-destructive testing(NDT) is a wide group of analysis techniques used in science and industry to evaluate the properties of a material, component or system without causing damage.

DYE PENETRANT INSPECTION

*Dye penetrant inspection is a widely applied and low-cost inspection method used to locate surface- breaking defects in all non- porous material.

*Penetrant inspection is used to detect casting, forging and welding surface defects such as cracks, porosity and leak in new products.

PROCEDURE

1. Firstly, need to clean the surface with removal.

2. Second, apply red penetrant.3. Third, clean one more time with

cloth.4. Forth, apply developer to the

surface.5. Inspection.

EXAMPLES OF DEFECTS

MAGNETIC PARTICLE OF INSPECTION (MPI)

*Magnetic particle inspection is process for defecting surface and slightly subsurface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials such nickel, cobalt and alloys.

*This process put a magnetic field into the part. The piece can be magnetized by direct or indirect.
