Read different types of books and informational text with your child

Ask your child to find answers to questions in the text of books, newspaper articles, manuals, etc.

Encourage your child to form and defend an opinion by supporting it with facts, details and reasons from text

Discuss mathematics ideas with your child have them explain these to you using pictures, graphs, etc.

Assessment will be 50 multiple‐choice questions and conducted within a class period

Students will receive a score for the percent correct, not proficiency. 

The percent correct will be entered into the gradebook. 

For the baseline year, DDEOC scores will not be calculated into students’ final grades.

The Civics EOC Assessment is a computer based test. All students enrolled in 7th grade Civics must take the EOC. 

Student performance results are used to calculate 30% of a student’s course grade.
