I. Wh- Questions with be

In indirect questions with be, the word order changes:be comes after the noun.

• Could you tell me where Seera Castle is?

Not Could you tell me where is Seera Castle?

Can you tell me where the grocery stores are?

Not Can you tell me where are the grocery stores?

In indirect questions, be comes after the noun.

II. Wh-Questions with do/does/did

How often do the buses leave for the city? What time does the shop open? When did the school close for the summer?

In indirect questions with do, do / does / did is omitted.

Can you tell me how often the buses leave?

Not Can you tell me how often do the buses leave?

1. Where is the library? (Could you tell me…..?)

• Could you tell me where the library is?

2. Where is the Art Museum? (Can you tell me.…?)

• Can you tell me where the Art Museum is?

3. What sport are the boys playing? (Do you know?)

• Do you know what sport the boys are playing?

4. Where do you get pizza? (Can you tell me….?)

• Can you tell me where you get pizza?

• Do you know what time the post office opens?

5. What time does the post office open? (Do you know…….?)

6. When did the bus leave? (Could you tell me…?)

• Could you tell me when the bus left?
