This graph shows the relation between consumption and production rate of India. Most of the goods are imported by India which are then supplied in the Indian market.
India’s GDP growth is falling
This graph shows the falling rate of Indian GDP. Due to decrease in value of rupee against dollar the price of goods imported has increased which increased inflation leading to decrease in GDP.

International IP index
The above graph shows the scores of Intellectual Property (IP) of various countries among which India ranks lowest.
India is the emerging super power but
lacks in innovation & technology India is one of the biggest economy of the World
but India lacks in terms of innovation and research compared to China and other Nations.
India needs to develop its innovation and research sector to compete with other nations in field of technology and military power.
India imports various things from other countries as it does not have sufficient technology.
Indian industries doesn’t use advanced and latest technology as used by other nations.
India doesn’t spend more on innovation and research which is affecting its growth.
Things Government must do Boosting IT & Electronics sector
can help India improve technology.
More funding from Government in innovation & research.
Funding from Central & State Governments.
Helping and guiding innovators in their work through availlability of resources.
Increasing the salary and incentives of Scientists can stop people from going abroad for work.
Our present education system should be changed.
A website like Facebook should be created for innovators to share there ideas or research work.
Schools and Colleges should allow or give guidance to any students which has unique ideas or invention.
Various centers across country should be setup where inventors can visit and submit there ideas to Government officers under various categories which will be then seen by experts in respective field and the appropriate ideas should be converted to reality by proper funding.
Government should allow voice, sms, postal services for innovators to submit their work at various centers.
Every engineering and medical college should have innovation & research centers to help various innovators to get guidance in his/her invention/research.
There should be mobile or computer apps which will promote steady and fast sending of inventor’s ideas to Government.
Awareness should be increased among people about various schemes in research and innovation.

More advance technology can be tried by firms as
proposed by innovators.
Private companies should help budding innovators
to bring his/her ideas to reality.

The aim of this Innovation and Research Strategy is to set out how the Government
will
achieve this, and leverage the significant public investment in these and related
areas to
drive sustainable growth. The central elements of this new approach will be:
• Continued support for curiosity-driven research across a broad range of
disciplines, with a focus on supporting excellent research and excellent
universities;
• Encouraging increased business investment in all forms of innovation, particularly
by SMEs, including technology development, but also in intangible assets such as
design, the development of new business models and skills;
• Increasing knowledge exchange and facilitating networks, clusters and research
campuses as hubs for interaction at local, national and international level;
• A commitment by Government to maximise its contribution, by making public
data available to innovators, removing red tape that blocks innovation and using
prizes and challenges to solve problems.
