It is impossible not to be astonished by .

Nowhere on Earth does humanity present itself in such adizzying, creative burst of cultures and religions, races and

    tongues.

Every aspect of the country presents itself on a massive, exaggerated scale, worthy in comparison only to thesuperlative mountains that overshadow it.

Perhaps the only thing more difficult than to be indifferent

to India would be to describe or understand Indiacompletely.

    Joint Family System

    i. A majority of the people in India prefer to live in a jointfamily, which could comprise anywhere between a group of twoor more members to even over 20 members sometimes.

ii. As per the Indian way of living, the commanding position in afamily is held by the eldest earning male member. He consultsother adult members on important issues, but it is his decisionthat ultimately prevails. However, a lot of importance is alsogiven to the advice of the eldest retired members of the family.
