His responsible for empanelment of vendors for catering items used on regular basis. He imparts technical advised to zones on procurements issues for both catering and general items. His also responsible for food safety management systems, food audit, customer satisfaction surveys and instrumental in ISO certification in various units. Liaison with DMRC and procurement of IT equipment. He also responsible for complaint redressal machinery for catering. He is also coordinator for integrity pack.

IT business is main contributor to the total turnover of IRCTC and is growing/expanding day by day.
The post of Group General Manager (IT-Project) is required for handling very crucial department Internet Ticketing which is undergoing strategic development at this stage and also very sensitive area of work. An officer has to look after various functions at Corporate as well as Zonal level viz. coordination & Refund etc.,. The officer also looks after important and time bound online rail E-ticketing project of Indian Railway being managed by IRCTC. The post required to handle various projects in IRCTC, viz. *The Government Officers selected for the post of Dy.CVO on deputation to IRCTC, will have the option to draw the salary/perks and allowance as per their entitlement in parent Department along with the prescribed deputation allowance or to draw pay/perks and allowance in IRCTC scale i.e. IDA.
Selection Process & other conditions:
A) The post/pay scale held by the applicants on temporary capacity such as on contract, on ad-hoc, on deputation basis or on MACP financial up-gradation basis, etc shall not be taken into account for the purpose of eligibility. Therefore, those applicants who are presently on deputation to other organization must satisfy the eligibility conditions based on their parent cadre post/pay scale and not the deputation post/pay scale.
B) In case the pay scale held by any applicant in any organization is dissimilar, the minimum and maximum (in case of IDA scales) or pay band & Grade pay (in case of CDA) must be higher than the minimum and maximum of the respected CDA or IDA pay scales mentioned under column 4 above, for the purpose of determining his/her eligibility.
C) All applications should be forwarded through proper channel. NOC/APARs/Working Reports, as applicable, must be received from their parent organization before the interview.
D) The candidates should submit their application through proper channel with NOC. The candidate should request their present organization to forward APARs/working reports, as applicable, for the preceding 05 years along with the application to IRCTC. In respect of applicants with less than 5 years service, APARs/Working reports may be sent accordingly.
E) Please note that in the absence of APARs/working Reports, as applicable, from the employer, he/she will not be allowed to appear in the interview.
F) The maximum age of the applicant for deputation to the above posts shall be 55 (fifty Five) years as on the cutoff date i.e. 30.09.2016.
G) The applicants fulfilling all the eligibility conditions will only be considered for short-listing them for interview. However, in case of large number of applicants found eligible, IRCTC reserves the right to shortlist only the limited number of candidates based on their relevant and required qualifications/additional professional qualification/experience and other achievements.
H) Selection of the eligible and short listed candidates for deputation / Immediate Absorption shall be based on interview and assessment of APARs/Working reports /Experience /qualification /other achievements.
I) Based on the performance of the candidates in the interview, the candidates equal to the number of vacancies will be approved for deputation / Immediate
Absorption in the main list. In addition, all those candidates who qualify in the interview with minimum marks criteria will be kept as standby candidates.
J) IRCTC reserves the right to cancel/modify the notification/the number of vacancies at any time.

1.) On joining IRCTC, an officers/employees working in Central/State Govt. will be eligible to draw his pay in the parent Cadre plus deputation allowance only, as per the extant rules and regulations issued by DOPT’s guidelines on
deputation . 2.) For officer/employees working in IDA pay scale may like to draw either the
pay in the scale of pay of deputation post or his/her basic pay in the parent cadre plus deputation allowance.
