Took his Ph.D. from Agra University, Agra. He has delivered invited lectures at University of London, UK and also at different Indian Universities and Centres of Research. He has been associated in different capacities, with premiere Universities, and institutions such as Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla, Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Viswavidyalaya, Wardha (Maharashtra) Sahitya Akademi, National Academy of Letters (New Delhi). He is a Member of the Academic Committee of “India Policy Foundation”, New Delhi. He has published more than 85 research papers in International and National research journals. He was awarded the prestigious K.K. Birla Foundation fellowship on Comparative Literature. He has 19 years of postgraduate teaching experience. He has been a Resource Person for several national and international seminars. He has delivered a series of lectures on Sri. Aurobindo at Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla, and also at Banaras Hindu University. He has published 15 books, including 3 novels. He is a Member of MHRD Grant in Aid/ Indian Languages Committee. Many of his interviews with eminent scholars are featured in Youtube.com. Prof. K.P. Jayasankar Prof. Anjali Monteiro K.P. Jayasankar is Professor and Dean at the School of Media and Cultural Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. He holds an M.A. in German Studies and a Ph.D. in Humanities and Social Sciences (IIT-B). Anjali Monteiro is a Professor at the School of Media and Cultural Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Masters degree in Economics and a Ph.D. in Sociology. Prof. Jayasankar currently holds an Honorary Faculty Associate position at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Technology, Sydney. They are involved in media production, teaching and research. They have won several prestigious awards including Best Documentary, IV Three Continents International Documentary Festival, Veneuzuela, 2005, and Best film, International Folk Music Film Festival, Kathmandu, 2012, and Basil Wright Prize, 13 th RAI International Festival of Ethnographic Film, 2013. They have jointly authored several books and research articles.

Department of Cultural Education and India Studies, Amrita School of Arts and Sciences, Kochi is happy to announce a 3-day National Seminar on Indian Literatures and Culture on February 14,15 and 16.
The Seminar is designed to bring in to critical focus the rich and varied cultural heritage of India and to provoke fresh perspectives on Indian culture and its varied manifestations in regional literatures and prolific indigenous art forms.
Some of the core concerns of the Seminar are: 1. A critical re-appropriation of classical Indian aesthetics to the understanding of contemporary Indian writings. 2. Comparitive approach to Indian and Western Critical Theories. 3. The role of regional literatures in the evolution of a national consciousness. 4. The evolution of cultural consciousness in the traditional Indian context. 5. The Margi and Desi traditions in Indian art. 6. Cultural perspectives on the various strands of Indian music. 7. Mythopoeic imagination in Indian writings and art. 8. Negotiations of modernity in Indian cinema and theatre. 9. Impact of bhakti cult in Indian Art and Literatures. 10. The embodiment of Indian ethos in Sanskrit literature.

He is the Intrnational Coordinator and All India Samparka Pramukh of Samskrita Bharati. He is the winner of Yashwant Kelkar Award for youth empowerment 2000. He is teaching Samskrit as a resource person in various
Universities and institutions in India and abroad and has published several articles in journals. He has served as All India General Secretary of Samskrita Bharati for Six years.

Dr. A.M. UnnikrishnanProfessor of Malayalam, School of Distance Education (SDE), University of Kerala. He has presented more than 100 papers in National and International Seminars and published more than 1000 articles in periodicals.
