The aftermath of monsoon rains and cyclone “Komen” have created a flood situation in east - western states of India especially in Gujarat, Ra- jasthan, Odisha, West Bengal and Manipur. 134 people have lost their lives. 48 in West Bengal, 53 in Gujarat, 28 in Rajasthan and 5 in Odisha. 8 million people were affected; 1000 of hectares of agriculture land damaged with widespread im- pacts on livelihood on people across the country. In Rajasthan, the excess rainfall has affected 6 districts while Jalore and Bhinmal became the worst affected. 3.69 million people in West Bengal across 9,691 villages of 210 blocks in 12 districts have been displaced. Seven districts in Odisha with 644 villages affected while 14 districts in Gu- jarat affected with four million people. Kilwa and Bavrala vilaages of Jalore District (Sanchore block), Rajasthan.
