The International Summer Program (ISP) at Providence University aims at offering an exciting but educational short-term travel and study program.
Students who participate in this program will receive so lid and prac tical training in Mandarin language, pro fessional management lec tures plus visits to enterprises of Taiwan's core industries, as well as a wide range of cultural practices. There are also weekend excursions for exploring the island.
To make you yourselves at home, friendship buddies will ac company you to further experience diverse cultures and have fun. They are also the best way to improve your Mandarin.

About Providence UniversityPro videnc e University (PU) is a Catho lic c o -
educational institution that was founded by the American congregation of the Sisters of Providence of St. Mary-of-the Woods, Indiana, USA. The university s roots can be traced back to 1920 in Mainland China. It is currently sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Taichung.
PU is in the rural setting of Taichung City in central Taiwan. Students enjoy clean air and expansive green vistas in and around the school. Taichung is located in central Taiwan with mild weather most of the time as well as safe and friendly environment. ScholarshipTaiwan Ministry of Education o ffers the Short-
term Chinese Language Study Group scholarship. The scholarship for Asian groups of more than 5 students could reach to 57USD per week per person and Non-Asian groups could reach to 90USD per week per person. Please contact the Taiwan Rep. Office in your country.
Housing ServiceOn-Campus Dormitory (St. Bosco Hall)
Bosc o Hall is on c ampus and there is a small convenience store and supermarket nearby. Bosco Hall is equipped with modern and convenient facilities such as a gym, public common rooms, laundry area, elevators, and vending machines. Each student is provided with a bed, closet, desk, table lamp, and a chair. Free Wi-Fi access and air conditioner are available in every room.
Friendship Buddy (Learning Partner)
International students will be contac ted by the International Friendship Buddy or Learning Partners of PU.
Your learning partners will meet you at the airport and accompany you through the whole program. They will introduce you to the campus and the city, arrange activities, and have fun together!
