• There are many problems in the village but we felt that Consuming Tobacco is one of the major problem among Youth & Older People.
We ‘Felt’:
We ‘Imagined’:
Our kids have realised that a society must be freed of tobacco. Cigarette and Bidi should banned in public places. But it can't be possible unless the society will realise its impact. We will show them the real mirror of Tobacco through Street play and signature campaign.
We ‘Did’:
• Rally across community
• Community meeting
• Nukad natak
We ‘Did’:
• Anti-Tobacco message.
• Posters, Banners and Flack cards
• Motivational Songs
• Community people appreciated the Satya Bahrti School children initiative and village sarpanch has given Appreciation Letter to Satya Bahrti Bharti School Banthala.
• 105 villagers participated in Signature campaign and took the oath that they will quit the habit of Chewing Tobacco and will not consume tobacco in any other form.
Impact on Community:
• The team members of Satya Bharti feel the sense of pride to be a part of the campaign and gained the self confidence to deal with such social problems.
• Children felt proud to educate their elders and near & dear and learnt that to keep away them selves from tobacco.
Impact on Us:
Experience of Community Members & Teachers:
• The teachers realise that they have done something special for villager which is totally different from their daily class room teaching & feel pride to make a difference in the life of community people.
• “ Aaj Satya Bharti School Nareda Khurd ke bacho ne Nasah Mukt / Tambaku ke sevan ke virudh rally Nikali Jis se Hum Logo ko achi siksha mile aur Aaj se hune Tambaku ka sevan chod diya”.
