Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ at

Incarnation Parish:

I want to offer my sincere thanks for your

hospitality, generosity and prayers supporting our

mission work in Northern Alaska.

As I shared this past weekend, we have 46

parishes spread over 410,000 square miles in a

challenging Arctic environment, which are often

able to only experience Mass once every 68

weeks.

Given that the vast majority of these

parishes are far below the poverty

level and our Native Alaskan peoples

live off the fruits of the land and sea,

your financial assistance will greatly

help with the expensive travel in small

aircraft to these locations as our priests and

religious serve these good people of God.

Please be assured of my Mass intentions and

prayers for your families. It was a great joy to

chat with many of you following Mass. Let us

keep one another in prayer!

In Christ’s peace,

Bishop Chad Zielinski

Wondering What We Are Singing Right Before Communion?

The Agnus Dei, sung in place of the Lamb of God comes from John 1:29 and is often used

during the Communion Rite. Along with the Kyrie, Credo, Gloria, and Sanctus, this chant has been

an integral part of the Mass since 701 A.D.

Incarnation

Parishioners

did it again

and brought

joy to so

many. This

year we collected more Christmas gifts

than any other year in our history for a

total of 967 gifts. This has an estimated

inkind value of $20,240. In addition,

$1954.00 in cash and checks was

collected. These funds were used to fill

the gaps for tags not returned and

families that came in after the trees

went up. Of that amount, $1953.95

was spent. Yep, only a nickel was left.

You entrust us with your generous gifts

and donations we spend it on those in

need. Thank you from the St Vincent

de Paul Society for your time,

treasures, and generosity this past

Christmas season. You are all a gift

from God.
