Six-Word MemoirsNot Quite What I was Planning: Six
Word Memoirs from Writers Famous and Obscure
collects almost 1,000 six-word memoirs, including additions from
many celebrities including Stephen Colbert, Amy Sedaris,
Dave Eggers, Richard Ford, Deepak Chopra, Moby, and more.
Legend has it that Hemingway was once challenged to write a story in only six
words. His response? “For sale: baby shoes, never worn.”
What could this mean?
2 years ago, SMITH Magazine asked their readers for their own six-word memoirs.
(Smith Magazine is an online magazine devoted to storytelling in all its forms. Smith's content is participatory
in nature, and the magazine welcomes contributions from all its readers.)

Six Word Memoir ProjectPick one of your six word memoirs and turn it
into a
creative masterpiece like the examples we saw in the video.
(ideas include using photographs, magazine cutouts, your own drawings, images you find online, etc.)
You will be graded on effort, originality, and creativity so produce something that really represents you!
It should be no smaller than 4x6 but as big as you’d like!• Due: Thurs. Oct. 4• Value: 100 points
