Prophetic Word for 2015 By Ps. Shalom

The most well-loved psalm in the Bible is Psalm 23, that paints a beautiful picture of

our good shepherd, Jesus, caring for us His beloved flock. He feeds, protects and leads

us to rest so that we lack no good thing. This psalm speaks of superabundant bless-

ings–pictured as a cup that is so full of drink that the liquid is spilling out over the brim.

These blessings are not dependent on a person’s good works but are simply a gift from

God.

Life is a journey and those who have arrived are those that are dead. Life

must be seen as a house under construction. My cup runneth over means overflowing

blessing and Overflow of blessing is about continuing blessing.

“My cup runneth over” simply means overflowing blessings (Luke 6:32-38, Gen. 12:1-3,

Gen. 24:35-36)

1. It means no lack.

2. It means that all your needs are met and something extra comes with it.

3. It is when all forces in heaven, under the earth, all over the world are summoned by

God to assist you to excel.

4. It means your victory coming without fight. 5. It is wealth without sorrow.

Application:

1. Your cup must run over so that you can have your rain in due season. This shows that

God has blessed the works of your hand.

2. Your cup must run over because God wants everything He has created to cooperate

with you. Everything will release your blessings. The sun stood still for Joshua.

3. Your cup running over is a sign that God is helping you. A supernatural help from

God (Psalm 121:1). No man will help you except God ministers to him to help you. If

God does not do it, no man can do it; always pray to God that He should put your love

in the heart of men to help you.

THREE LEVELS OF BLESSING 1. It is not enough: What you have is never enough. 2. It is just enough: I cannot give out anything because what I have is just enough 3. It is more than enough: Overflow. FOR YOUR CUP TO RUN OVER: 1. DON’T SPEAK YOUR LIMIT (SCARCITY): At all times speak abundance! (Psalm

140:11) Speak success and not failure. 2. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY (PROV. 4:20-24): You must learn to take responsibility. 3. DON’T FLOW WITH THE NATURAL FORCES OF THIS WORLD. Don’t limit yourself to the world’s technology. Look on the inside instead of looking outside. Don’t look at the natural, look unto God (2Cor. 9:8). 4. YOU MUST HEAR WHAT GOD IS SAYING (PROV. 4:20-23). You must make up your mind to hear what God is saying, not what your circumstance is saying. Speak accord-ing to what God is saying (Jer. 17:7-8).

We find the story recorded in 2 Kings 4:1-8….Read it clearly from Bible, I imagine her sons

went from house to house collecting all the available empty jars, vessels, and pots in the neighbor-

hood. Then the woman did as she was told and shut the door. What lessons can we can draw from

this miracle? I find this miracle to be a symbol of the inexhaustible divine grace and power of God.

All of us are in the same condition as that poor widow. We are destitute. We are empty and void. But

God is eager to fill us with His power.

Faithful obedience is demanded in order to receive ample supply of Divine grace or power. The wid-

ow not only sought Divine help but also implicitly obeyed all the instructions. Her first act of obedi-

ence occurred when she and her sons collected all the available empty jars. She asked and she re-

ceived. We do not have because we do not ask. God expects us to treat others as if they are empty

vessels for us to use, so as to glorify God in their salvation. By bringing the empty vessels into her

house, the woman implied she had something with which to fill them. She had faith that the Lord

would provide. Waiting in faith is a high form of worship.

Her second act of obedience happened when she went inside and shut the door. Why would Elisha

ask her to go inside her house and shut the

door? Could it be be- cause she was going to

begin a new life and every new life begins in

darkness—like the germination of seeds in

the soil and the babes of the animal kingdom in

their mothers' wombs? Or could it be that

she might be more free to pray and act when

undisturbed by the unbelief of others? What-

ever the reason may have been, she shut the

door behind her as she was instructed.

The third act of obedience is that she poured the oil into the jars. Without the slightest moment of

hesita-tion, the widow took the jar in her hands, tilted it over the first empty container, and watched

as oil flowed out and filled the vessel. She brought the oil jar to an upright position and saw that it

was full again. Imagine the look of astonishment on her face. The human mind cannot comprehend

how the oil multiplied. The poor widow's faith and implicit obedience triumphed over all difficul-ties.

The supply of divine power is limited only by the ca-pacity of the receiver. Every available vessel

was filled with oil. The oil flowed as long as empty vessels were available. The oil stopped only when

there were no more empty vessels. God's power is inexhaustible. It is not limited in itself but by the

capacity of the individual receiver. The enjoyment of spiritual goodness increases the desire for

more. The vessels were exhausted, but the hand of God was not emptied. It is never God who fails

but always man who comes to the end of his capacity. In Psalm 81:10 we read, "Open wide your

mouth and I will fill it." As long as there is an empty, longing heart, there is a continual overflowing

fountain of God's power. If the oil ceases to flow in any place or at any time, it is because there are

no empty vessels, no souls hungering and thirst-ing to be filled with God's power. All that the mira-

cle needed was empty vessels. Full vessels were of no use. Many do not receive God's power be-

cause they have no empty vessels. Their vessels are full of their own self-righteousness, intelli-

gence, and strength. These things that are utterly useless and shut out the power of God from our

hearts. God wants to fill our emptiness with His power. The shape, size, or material of the vessel

does not matter as long as it is empty, open, and ready to be filled. We, the empty vessels, are cre-

ated to be filled with God's power; otherwise, the purpose of creation is lost.

The Overflowing Cup in 2015 by Pastor

David tells us in Psalm 23:5 that he is experiencing that "Overflow." The "Overflow" is only ex-perienced by those Sheep who have declared the LORD to be their Only Shepherd, and are seeking to bring every aspect of their life under the Total Lordship of Jesus Christ. This Overflow comes as a direct result of Following the Lord’s Liberating Leadership - He Leadeth Me, He Maketh Me, He Restoreth My Soul. And in time of Trouble, to rest upon His Awesome Presence and Protection-Yea, though I walk thru the valley.... And knowing that the Lord will bring You Through, you can look forward to His Perfect Provisions - He prepares a Ta-ble before me, He Anoints My Head with Oil. I declare you, Possessing and Feeling the Lord’s anointing on Your Life will cause YOUR CUP TO RUN OVER!!! It’s that Spillage that Overflow that RUNS OVER THING that is missing in most of our lives; and in particular, in our GIVING, OUR FINANCES. Our focus in 2015...is HOW DO WE GET TO THIS RUNNING OVER STAGE IN OUR WALK WITH THE LORD? WHAT ARE THE STEPS INVOLVED IN GOING FROM A TRICKLE TO RUNNING OVER?

I. STEP ONE IS TO TURN YOUR CUP RIGHT SIDE UP!

In most good restaurants the coffee cups are placed up-side down on the saucer. And if you desire coffee, you just turn your cup right-side up. And a good waitress/waiter takes that sig-nal as your desire for coffee. If you want the coffee, just turn your cup right-side up! Many of us are trying to Live the Abundant Life with Up Side-Down Cups! Our Cup Must Be Turned Right Side-Up. Be Open To Believe God. To Receive of His Fullness.

TURN YOUR CUP RIGHT SIDE-UP!!

II. STEP TWO IS TO HAVE YOUR CRACKED CUP MENDED!

Some of Our Cups are Not Running Over because They Are Cracked!

Cracked from Disobedience! Cracked from Selfishness! Cracked from Ego/Pride

TAKE YOUR CRACKED CUP TO THE POTTER TO BE MENDED!!!

Now, when Our Upside-Down Cups have been Turned Right Side-Up and Our Cracked Cups have become Mended Cup, then: With the ANOINTING,OUR CUP WILL RUN OVER!!!

Turn Your Cup Right Side Up and say:

"Fill my cup, Lord; I Lift it up, Lord;

Come and quench this thirsting of my Soul.

Bread of Heaven, Feed me ’til I want no More.

Fill My Cup. I Lift It Up.

Lord, Make Me Whole."

8 year old Seema

was walking by the

roadside carefully

holding a glass of milk

which she had pur-

chased from the milk-

man paying 5 rupees.

She was afraid it

would spill like it did

the previous day. Her

mother was really angry and her small broth-

er had to go hungry. How she wished they

could buy a cow so that they had plenty of

milk at home. She hated going to the shop to

buy half a glass of milk!

Twenty years later Seema is in a different

world. She studied well and after finishing her

education went about trying to fulfill her life-

long dream. With a bank loan she purchased

a couple of cows at first and then with the

profits she earned the cow farm grew. Now

she has a big farm with 28 cows, she has em-

ployed people to help her in the farm and the

business is steadily growing.

Today morning she did something strange.

Really really strange. She got up early in the

morning before an-

yone could rise.

She took a glassful

of fresh milk from

her farm and began

to walk on the road

towards the milk-

man’s shop. As she

walked, she began

to sing softly and

then she began to

run. As the milk

began to spill from

the glass in her

hand … she began

to laugh and began

to run even faster

till all the milk spilled on the road. Then look-

ing at the empty glass in her hand she began

to laugh like crazy. No … she was not crazy.

She had wanted to do that since the age of 8.

Now she could afford to do just that!

David knew the meaning of overflow. Abun-

dance. His sheep never knew hunger or dan-

ger. David took care of them well. But more

than that, David knew the Lord as his shep-

herd. That knowledge gave him the absolute

comfort that God would take care of him bet-

ter than David took care of his sheep. Even

before he became a king he knew how to ex-

perience God’s abundance. While he was run-

ning from his enemy Saul and later from his

own son who wanted him dead, David could

draw strength and comfort from the

knowledge that God was his shepherd. David

could rest in peace even in the middle of the

valley of the shadow of death because he

knew his shepherd Lord.

‘The Lord is my shepherd, I shall lack

nothing’

‘No good thing will He withhold from them

that walk uprightly’

‘Goodness and mercy shall follow me all

the days of my life’

‘You prepare a table before me in the

presence of my enemies’

God does not do partial work in our lives.

When he picks us up from the world and be-

gins to work on us, he has grand plans for

each one of us. He wants to anoint us till we

overflow with his Spirit. He wants to wash us

in his blood till we be-

come white as snow.

He wants to bless us

with abundance so

that we can minister

to others with his

abundance. He wants

to change our hearts

till we become the

wisest, kindest, cool-

est people on earth –

just like his son Jesus

is.

Instead of complaining

and murmuring like

the world does every-

day, we can stop and

start counting our blessings. And then we can

begin to say like David …’The Lord is my

shepherd …. My cup overflows’. In 2015 you

need not walk in fear, wondering if you are

going to lose even the little blessing that you

have at the bottom of your glass. Instead you

can choose to believe in God who wants to

and is able to fill your empty glass to the

overflow! - CD

Meaning of Psalm 23 by Author Unknown

Focus on Abundance... James MacDonald

David said, “I have more of God than I can contain. I have more blessings than room to hold them.

My life in God is a life of abundance.” The truth is that there are probably a couple of areas of your

life in which the cup isn’t quite full. You may be tempted to spend all your energy focusing on what

isn’t there – focusing on what’s missing from your life.

When life challenges your resources or tests your faith, you may tend to wonder how much you

have available. But if you look around and your answer is, “More than I need,” your cup runs over.

You have abundant provision from the Lord. God gives you everything you need to face what you

are facing—not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. The picture is, I don’t even have to ever

think, wonder, or worry about having enough, because God keeps my cup full to overflowing.

Though you can ask God to provide anything you lack – He encourages us to bring all of our needs

to Him – don’t get in the habit of defining your life according to what you don’t have. Instead,

make it a point each day to think about all the abundance in your life, and the areas in which God

has provided more than enough. As you think about these things, you will come to see that it’s true

for you, too: Your cup runs over.

Psalm 23 (For the Workplace) -- Author Unknown

The Lord is my boss, and I shall not want.

He gives me peace, when chaos is all around me.

He reminds me to pray, before I speak in anger.

He restores my sanity.

He guides my decisions that I might honor Him in all I do.

Even though I face absurd amounts of e-mail, system failures, copier jams, back-ordered supplies, un-

realistic deadlines, staff shortages, budget cutbacks, red tape, downsizing, gossiping co-workers and

whining customers, I won't give up, for You are with me.

Your presence, peace and power will see me through.

You raise me up, even when the boss fails to promote me.

You claim me as your own, even when the company threatens to let me go.

Your loyalty and love are better than a bonus check.

Your retirement plan beats any 401K, and when it's all said and done,

I'll be working for you a whole lot longer!

Thanks be to God!

23rd Psalm for Students - Author Unknown

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not flunk

He keepeth me from lying down when I should be studying

He leadeth me beside the water cooler for a study break

He restores my faith in study guides

He leads me to better study habits

For my grades' sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of borderline grades

I will not have a nervous breakdown

For thou art with me

My prayers and my friends, they comfort me

Thou givest me the answer in moments of blankness

Thou anoints my head with understanding

My test paper runneth over with questions I recognize.

Surely passing grades and flying colors shall follow me

All the days of my examinations

And I shall not have to dwell in this exam hall forever.
