Safety First: Driving in the Snow

PREPARING FOR WINTER DRIVING:

Before driving, it is VERY important to spend a few minutes

taking preventative actions before getting into your vehicle

while traveling in snow:

Do a pre-trip inspection of your windshield wipers, frontheadlights, taillights, window defrost, tires & brakesprior to driving.

Have an emergency kit for your vehicle thatincludes: jumper cables, flashlight, flare, first-aid kit,blanket/sleeping bag, snow shovel, boots,packaged/canned food, water and sand bags for addedtraction.

Expect delays and leave 45 minutes prior to your normaldeparture time for work.

Be a defensive driver! Reduce your speed and extend thefollowing distance between you and the car ahead to noless than 6 car lengths for city driving, and 12 car lengthsfor highway driving.

When braking, be sure to ease your foot on the break andto make no sudden movements while stopping.

Make the call. If visibility is restricted to less than 40 feetin front of you for city driving and 100 feet for highwaydriving, you should not be driving at all.

Employees are recognized at Pottle's with a certificate of

achievement & cash reward when they reach they reach longevity

with the company. Within the past two months, we had 4 individuals

reach that milestone: Rachel Berry, Eugene LaBelle & John Ray have

each been with the company for FIVE years. Jeff McIntosh reached

10 years in December as well! Congratulations to them, we are so

thankful for your hard work and dedication to the company.

Wreaths Across America Update

As many of you already know, Pottle's participated in Wreaths AcrossAmerica again this year, with two of our very own drivers Dean Loupin &Bob Chandler participating in this event; we also had one of our Logisticsdrivers haul one of our trailers into Arlington as well. This is something

that Pottle's is very passionate about, having family members andseveral employees that are Veteran's themselves it is something we arevery honored to be a part of. This year WAA met their goal of 246,700

wreaths for Arlington National Cemetery , which meant that EVERYSINGLE Veteran that is laid to rest in Arlington received a wreath on

December 16th. What an amazing thing to be apart of, we are so blessedto be a small part in something SO BIG! Here are some pictures from the

events, in case you didn't catch them on our Facebook page.

Just a Reminder

The traditional yellow driver's envelopes have now been

replaced with white PREPAID envelopes. The new envelopes

will make it easier for you to get your paperwork into

Accounting. You can drop them off at any mailbox!! But as

always, if you find yourself at one of the offices, you can still

drop them there as well.

THANK YOU!
